As far as I understand, he's still the coach of several other UAE riders. Why would they still use him, if he's such a *** coach?
The guy was a competitive cyclist and a professor of exercise physiology in a very reputable university it's laughable to suggest that he didn't know what he was doing. Even Pog himself has stated that he changed very little in his training.

when the dude goes to the bathroom to send the number 2 beware of the fallout...

I remember when everybody got attacked for pointing out Armstrong was obviously doped.
It took years before people started to get just abit suspisious.. (Same with Riis for that matter)

Pogacar is obviously doped (so is Vinge btw) but with Pogacar I get the same vibe as with Froome..... Cycling is more a circus than anything.. it will never change, as that is what sells and it is too hard to make a stance against doping (also mechanical) so they will just turn a blind eye, unless they really dislike the rider (like with Rasmussen)

If the rider is liked, they will get protected.

Cycling have become rather boring and predictable. But one might argue it always was.

Where am I wrong ?

1) His trainer making fat loss programs ? FACT.

2) Slovenian trainers having little experience at the WT level ? FACT.

3) Remco being trained by Belgium finest trainers since day 1 ? FACT.

All of the above being completely and utterly irrelevant to the notion that Pogi is the, by miles and miles, most laughably obvious cheater since Riccardo Riccò? FACT.

Pretty sure Pogacar today isn't even better than Simon Yates on Finestre.

This is the fastest regression I've seen since Nadal's 3rd hair transplant.

Around 1790 m/h of VAM for 35 minutes on a 7.8 % climb. Likely around 6.5 w/kg, maybe 6.6 w/kg (due to pacing alone).
5.5% lower climbing speed than PdB (but he was paced great there). Wattage around 4-5% lower.

To sum up: Pogi in decline and retirement incoming. Good news for his competition!

To be honest: Vingegaard 2022 & 2023 was extremely suspicious. This Vingegaard... not so much. Until now.

The comparison to make isn't with previous years performances. The comparison to make is always the rest of a world class peloton that you are riding against today, say even just the top ten GC. Some of whom may or may not be doping or using other dubious if not yet banned methods to eke out a *tiny* advantage. The fact is that by any measure this performance makes it clear that Pogacar is a complete outlier in a sport whereby we used to talk about marginal gains as if it were some sort of evil witchcraft. Where winning a tour by 3 minutes caused eyebrows to be raised. Oh how young and naive we were. If everyone else is on Earth, Pogacar is to be located somewhere around Alpha Centauri. Indeed, if today is any guide and he were to continue to perform at this level for the rest of the tour, he would probably win it by around 15 - 20 minutes. It's that big a gap. But he won't do that of course because Mauro will tell him to try to not look so conspicuous as to risk provoking the ire of the French media, with spectators throwing urine bags at him. Saying that, we're getting to that stage. I expect the UAE PR department will be going into overdrive and love bombing the media with some very nice gifts and hospitiality.

Riis' record was made on a unipuerto stage by the way, so today was probably a stronger performance overall, although I'm still surprised he didn't beat it. Apparently some way off his level from the final week of last year, so at that level he easily would have. Maybe they've saved the best for last again?
Many riders were in trouble "early" on stage today, the most interesting ones - Jorgensen, Remco. I think today heat + Carbon Monoxide ban is taking it's toll.

We need to remember Pogacar is having a possibility for Vuelta and Worlds participation. He needs to leave something in his tank.
