not if you bring doping into it, it's not.

We often enough had threads about anyone who wins, but in the clinic, go there if you want to rant about that. Here we just enjoy the racing.

Vino won for his son he just said, real beautiful

cav now 25pts behind pettachi and 23 behind tour in the points competition.

2 sprint finishes left. In theory if he wins both hes likely to win green.

wow, kind of surprised by the pro-vino chorus here.

I paid two years on suspension for the dark years of my career.--vino

he has doping written all over him. makes for exciting racing, but it's doping nonetheless.

Lily, There is plenty to say about this, there is lots that has been said and still will be said in the future and I don't really disagree, but this is not the time nor the place.

Timing. Just saying. Timing.

nice that you treat a proven drug cheat like a hero............ great stuff

I dont give a sXXX if it was the god damm pope

like I said no one wants clean sport if your going to act like that

By the same logic, I could be accused of not wanting an orderly and safe society if I supported the notion that criminals can be reintegrated into society.

Vino has served his time, and there is no more proof that he's doping now than there is that Cadel Evans, Lance Armstrong, or Lloyd Mondry are currently doping. Celebrating a beautiful cycling performance doesn't mean that he's forgiven, it just is what it is, celebration of today's awesome performance and a well-deserved victory.

Beautiful win, Vino.

Yes and the noteworthy embrace after the finish between the two was a clear sign that they can now kiss and make up.

They didn't have to make up. Vino understood what happened yesterday. He said it himself yesterday. That didn't mean he was ****ed he just missed that win.
Anyways awesome win by Vino! Got to love the man. He had his ban and now I assume he's clean.. or atleast as clean as the other riders.

Not if Petacchi keeps finishing one spot behind him.

Maybe you could start a thread on this in the clinic, if there's room amongst all the Lance threads.

I bet 90% of the riders used dope.
Besides that he did his time. Everyone has right to a 2nd chance...
If he won this clean then why can't we be happy about it?

Doping comments belong in The Clinic. This is a very simple concept. I've even typed it slowly as you don't seem to be getting the point. It is very nice for fans of Rider X to be able to enjoy his victory without a barrage of doping comments. Start a(nother) thread on Vino's cheating if it bothers you that much. I'd be interested to know what makes him worthy of being singled out every time he does something great. Maybe Phil will log in and contribute, he too seems to have tunnel vision on this topic.

Judging by your username - are you Taylor Phinney?

I'm happy for Vino, another attacking effort to go with his great performance yesterday and timed it just right this time.

beats sitting in the bunch and then getting tailed off..

if it just comes down to the 2 sprint finishes petacchi just needs to finish in the top 4 I think.... 25 points on two stages is quite a lot.. same for thor... I guess this one will come down to what happends in the intermediate sprints because cavendish is going to win the last two sprints very easily and petacchi should finish at least 3rd in both....

It's nice to see a great and exciting rider who's going to retire from the sport to get one more well-deserved stage win.
