This with bells and whistles on. He's reminding some folks that he still holds some cards. He's doesn't need to throw himself under a bus to do it either. He can speak out about the real culture at BC - back up Varnish etc. He could reveal what really went on between him and Froome and his wife and The Cound. He's already saying this stuff which discredits them a little and makes them sellers of snake oil / charlatans.
He doesn't have to say anything too bad and it would make the situation a little bit worse fo SDB et al. because his revelations would make it front page news.

Am struck by a) the lack of mention of Wiggins being ill and b) Uran being granted an immediate TUE (from tame UCI doc Zorzoli, natch) for asthma problems for a "steroid that can mimic a corticosteroid in the urine and can be misused"

From that story is fairly clear that Uran got Wiggins's triamcinolone for his TUE, thus they had to ship out another order from Manchester. Wiggins needed his hit before the training camp and wasn't to be tested after his post race doping control.
The missing laptop was pure BS from Sky as according to Freeman there were no records period in 2011.

There is not really much money in Dame Wiggie spilling the beans. A book? A movie? What else is there? The tabloids? They pay a pittance nowadays for exclusives. Wiggie will be lucky to get a quarter of a mill advance from a publisher. A movie, doubtful after the Armstrong movies bombed. So that leaves tabloid hell. Nah he can drag out the SBW 5 times olympic winner and TdF winner for a few years then open a bike shop or record shop in Kilburn.
It might happen to settle a score or because others get dragged down with Wiggie and Wiggie needs to save his own skin.
It might also come out in a drunken rant that he doesn't realise is being secretly recorded.

I just hope they lay off of the motors in this year's Tour. The stage neutralization also left a sour taste in the mouth.

If Brailsford cracks - which imo is also unlikely, but not impossible if the tension ramps up a bit more and he ends up taking all the flak - then Wiggins might be left in a position where he does a damage limitation reveal. Kind of like a more refined version of what Lance tried: something like 'I bent the rules at the TdF (and everyone was doing it), but the Olympic medals were 100% clean'
Definitely this - he still has a pretty strong legacy with his development team and I guess is still a hero to a lot of the British public. He's still got way too much to lose at this point.42x16ss said:

He could certainly make it looks a less clear cut situation than Armstrong - who had backed himself into such a corner that he had no credibility at all.
