They can have more than 1 rider for GClaarsland said:Gigs_98 said:I just dont understand how I could miss gerrans. He will be such a good pick![]()
You are clearly out to jinx, kind Sir!
Valgren Andersen for the TdU-GC sounds like Fantasy-bias, surely they'll let McCarthy have a go in his only native race of the year?
As the sole honcho with Marezcko I'm counting on Viviani oversleeping his alarm clock on the day of Argentinian departure...

Tropicale Amissa Bongo
Adrien Petit - he could maybe go for a sprint, but I'm thinking they'll be going for Gene here.
Tour Down Under
Simon Gerrans - good overall hope
Michael Valgren - dunno
That's it?!?! Two riders? Oh boy, this is gonna be a slow start to the season. Which is fine, the season is long, but it's fun to cheer early when the table is fluctuating so much.
San Luis
Yannick Martinez - I think he's the fastest rider on his team at this race.
Fernando Gaviria - he is definitely the fastest rider on his team.
Lawson Craddock
Andrew Talansky - these two should be the top 2 on their team for GC, but you never know form this early.
Eduard-Michael Grosu - let's see what he's got for a sprint in year two as a pro!
Matej Mohoric - can his end-of-season form be a sign of his starting form in year 3?
Miguel Angel Lopez - I feel like he is going to be unstoppable. He had 34 race days last year. 34! His stage races were: Catalunya (DNF), Turkey (15th). Suisse (7th), Burgos (4th). That is ridiculous for a neo-pro. He's gonna kill it this year.
So I guess I'll be watching the lowest-categorized, and most exciting, of the early season races. Can't wait!

Maybe the new program will be good for him.
Unfortunately it is yes. However, the "Emerging riders CQ game" hosted by Armchair cyclist is still open for entries. Bear in mind though that this version of the game has a duration of three years.Scarponi said:I am quite sad that I only just discovered this game today. It is probably too late now to make a team?
Also, you can still make your team and measure its progress against other teams for yourself. It may be a good practice for next year to see what is the best approach to picking riders who are able to accumulate as many points as possible.Hugo Koblet said:Unfortunately it is yes. And the Classics game is only weeks away, rapidly followed by the Giro game, and two more GT games to follow after that.Hugo Koblet said:Unfortunately it is yes. I picked Alaphillipe for 826 points, from the 'obvious' picks I don't have Tony Martin (624) and Gerrans (244). Together they make 868. 868 - 826 = 42. So let's say for those points missing I need to remove Stetina (50) from my team.
We'll see at the end of the year what the best would have been.
Two more comment on some picks, I really like the Geraint Thomas pick. I didn't think about him (I choose Kwiat as 'high priced pick'), but I think he can be a kind of Porte this year. Doing well in one week races, maybe picking up some points in the classics, picking points in a GT. Can score 1500 for sure.
Dennis (had him last year) is also a very nice one! wants to focus more on one week races, which he can do really well in my opinion. Plus two mayor TT's this year. Good pick.

Curious about the Alaphilippe pick. Where do you think his extra points are going to come from. Had a good classics campaign last year, so I don't see him picking up more there or do you think he can?
Do you see him evolving into a top 10 in major stage races?
