It's not about ranking riders within this group, the big 6 is about riders that if they are at the start and in form, they will win. And that's still the case for all 6.
If Pogacar is at the start and in form, he will win.

If Vingegard is at the start and in form, it's probably his nieces birthday

If remco is at the start and in form, he will whine and make escuses

If Roglic is at the start and in form, he will crash

If vanderpoel is at the start and in form, someone is going to get hurt

If van aert is at the start and in form, he will lose

I see Rogla is still listed in this group and if we reduce it to GC the group is even more select. It seems that each year one or the other sticks out a bit more and the debate is mostly about that. Who was more pointy.

The big one? This season anyway. There's a case to be made that MvdP makes it the big two, but the fact that I don't think he would stand a chance against the Pogster in the Flemish Ardennes, means there's no doubt in my mind.

(Also can we please ban "this"?)

1. Pogacar
Big gap
2. MVP (he is the best cobbled classics rider)
3. Vingegaard (best or close to be the best gt rider itw)
4. Remco
5 WVA
6 Roglic (of course his palmares is bigger than WVA, Remco but hos level is worse right now)

Was never the big six to begin with.

Pogacar
Vingegaard - MVDP - (Remco)
Roglic - (WVA)

Remco could also be in a tier between Vingegaard/MVDP and Roglic and WVA probably on the lowest step on his own.
I'd agree on a future that has Jonas and Wout returning to their best form. Based on last season's end, not so much. Remco was solid #2 (and I don't mean that in an organic way) and Roglic fought through a tough season. Next year will be next year and hopefully the UCI will have sent a few warnings to the DS's about the training breakthroughs that astounded us all: "Dial it back to under 11!"

I doubt that very much for WvA tbh. I love Wout, and his palmares is something to behold indeed, but in which top notch race is he going to be the top top favourite? Maybe P-R he's among there but he still hasn't won it.
When no one else of the top 6 is there? He can win any race

I'd have Remco just below Pog and ahead of Vingo

simply because there is far more to cycling than GTs. Vingo will never have the season long results that Remco has

Don't see why VdP gets the credit for being the #1 Flandrien when he hasn't beaten Pogacar in de Ronde since 2022. Vingegaard won 2 TdFs in the mean time.
What if Pogi doesn’t ride any cobbles anymore? And MVDP keeps winning Flanders and Roubaix? MVDP kept winning these races, which is why he is deemed the best at it

Well, I like a bit of a grammatical challenge! (I assume you did understand what I meant, though?)

Not exactly... stop making references specifically to the current season/year?

Another word candidate to be banned?

No, I was just wondering who "Bull" and "Gap" were supposed to be.

After translation:
1. Rogla
2. Pogi

<< huge gap >>

You, me, Remco and co

Dunno about you, but I don't think I belong in the same group as Remco and co. More like

Remco and co

<<Gigantic gap>>

Me.

Not exactly...
Ah, ok. Fair enough. We had two quotes of the same comment, which both added nothing but quote: "This." Could have been achieved with a like, and didn't add much to the thread.
