rides like a girl said:This isn't as good as the posts by Krebs...but my cat got a birthday gift from the teenager who cat sits him when I am out of town. He of course looks overjoyed with the gift.
The cat, Darlito the Wonder Kitty, is at least 20. I have had him 15 years. I got him from the street. An older lady was put into nursing home and left him behind. He got into fights protecting his yard. I took him to the vet and was told that Darla was a boy, so he became Darlito. I ended up bringing him into my house since I had a fat indoor cat and felt guilty he was outside.
He is now the only cat in the house. The other cat, Jerry Rice was put down on Super Bowl sunday a couple years ago due to kidney failure. The date he chose to need to be put down date was not lost on me...
Darlito has a cataract in one eye and his other eye is foggy. It has a bad lens. It happened a couple years ago and the vet said he was too old to have surgery. Every time he goes to the vet, the vet says it is a wonder he is alive.

Kitty's newest trick is to jump on the back of the sofa where I am sitting and lay down leaning against my head. Or if she's angry, beating my head and neck with her tail.
She has also started sniffing my hair quite intensely, which makes me think I need to change my shampoo.

redtreviso said:Try neomycin, bacitracin and polymixin triple antibiotic ointment..I have a cat with chronic eye crud and the triple almost cured it.. Others did nothing..
oldborn said:Vet gaves me antibiotic based on tobramycinum and this does not help as you can see. Another solution he mentioned to me is some procedure based on clean and clear tear drainage ducts
Where did you buy it? In some drugstore or vet prescribe it?
Thanks!
Thanks I will try to convince vet.redtreviso said:Vet prescribed it.. made by Rugby prod number 6006900
bactricin zinc-neomycin sulfate-polymyxin B sulfate..
It is usually a bacteria they get from birth.. If you ever get control of it it will stay gone.. A round of orbax during the ointment days might help too..10 days
