I just cleaned Kitty's feeding area: took away the food and water bowls to clean, and picked up the plastic place mat under them to wipe it off. Took a wet cloth and cleaned up the whole floor area around it.

Just then Kitty walked into the kitchen and went into a panic. She ran to the back door and begged to go out, totally scared. We assume she thought we were getting ready to put her in the dreaded carrybox and take her away!

Poor little Kitty, she still doesn't want to come back inside.

Kitty must have seriously thought we had stopped feeding her. She just brought us a mouse.

That is number two recently, so I guess the hunting season is open.

My cat gets around 6 mouses every week, it's quite annoying as sometimes she hides them in the house. We live behind a corn field, so lot's of mouses in the vicinity.

VEry nice of you to provide such a comfortable sleeping place. Just don't even think of trying to remove a piece of the clothing, though.

i wonder what makes someone a cat person or a dog person? is it like religion? the animal that your parents have is the preference you will adopt?

Dogs are needy. Cats are independent. If you want a pet that needs your constant attention then get a dog...or a parrot.

It turns out that hybrid cats are almost as needy as dogs...

what's a hybrid cat?

A hybrid between a wild cat and a domestic cat resulting in breeds like Bengals and savannahs. One of these guys.

Anyway, they are needy and require lots of attention. If you don't give it to them then they get mad and whine or knock things off counters, mantels, etc.

how big do they get?

pretty cute, though.

:D

That is a savannah. First generations can get to be about 35 pounds, but they don't make good house pets because of spraying. Your chance of getting a "bad" cat are also pretty high. The subsequent generations are smaller and better behaved. Those end up as large, long legged cats.

Male bengals end up the size of large domestics, up to about eighteen pounds, which is still a damned big cat considering that its from a large frame instead of fat weight.

This came from a friend of a friend.
As the hunter was admiring his "trophy" after dark, it wasn't until seeing the picture later that he realized he had company the whole time.
Prrrrr...

They remind me of Don Charly, a friends cat.
The biggest housecat I have ever seen. He is a monster and real Don, around 17 years old now.
But most important fact is, that he doesn't hate me. That's really positive and the correct description for the circumstances.

Don Charly has finished his meal - and has allowed me to sit next to him and take a picture. Don't even think about commenting his paunch. He will notice and find you.
