Took Monfort for overall at 125/1 each way.
Hopefully this will suit with a mixture of climbing / time trial.
Though not the best at either he is good at both and showed well in Oman.
May get a chance to show now with Leopard instead of doing the donkey work for Cav.

Also a little interest on stage 1 Gavezzi at 66/1 each way.

I'll again try 2 valuebets:

Sagan over Haussler @ 2.40 Unibet
Gavazzi over Dumoulin @2.44 Pinancle

And still thinking about this one. They expect pretty windy conditions and thats in favor of Roelandts but on a flat finish Gavazzi is faster then Roelandts. 3.08 is a lot for 2 riders that were only separated by just 3 places yesterday.

Gavazzi over Roelandts @ 3.08 Pinnacle

I like the first two as well, confident at least one will win.

Also Denis Galimzyanov 22/1 each way for the stage for me.

Good luck.

Gone with that one too.

Also have

Galimzyanov v Wyss @ 1.69 Pin

Dumoulin v Steegmans @ 2.34 Pin

Goss for the stage win @ 3.50

Ah well, it was close. Damn you, Geraint Thomas! ;)

But I'll definitely go back to my original plan of doing only matchbets for stages.

Tomorrow is unpredictable. Don't know how that hill will affect the race. Vino could try something, Sagan is good under such circumstances, but Goss could well get over it as well, and he'll beat Sagan in a sprint all day long. Or maybe it's Dumoulin day.

There are a few good h2hs out already, but I'll wait for the rest of the bookies to put up odds as well.

Henderson has said he will aim to get over it as well (or catch on the descent) as if he could pick up some bonuses could be in yellow. So like the look over him vs Goss @3 with B365 as if they both fail to get over it is maybe 50-50 who finishes first.

3.00 is definitely a lot. If it's 50/50 when both drop you still have value.

But then again, both of them not getting over the hill is the only scenario where it's 50/50. I think it's more likely that Goss gets over the hill and Henderson don't, and if both make it, Goss will always be favourite in a sprint. I'm not going to take that one, but good luck to those who do! 3.00 is a lot for a h2h afterall.

Edit:
Stage 3
Feillu over Rojas @ 2.40
Also a small bet on Offredo for the stage @67

Edit2: Added another one. This one's good.
Roche over Sylvain Chavanel @ 2.00
Nic Roche will probably find it worthwile contesting a reduced bunch sprint, and Chavanel is definitely no sprinter.

Tricky little stage for me, small breakaway or selected sprint / or will Goss and Hendo And Galimzyanov contest ? I dunno.
So I've bet him a few times through the years to no avail... So here we go again, Inaki Isasi at 250/1 each way

Good luck.

That was a nice bet!!!

Yeah, but I lost the Feillu over Rojas one. First time Feillu is beaten by Rojas in this race. Won 2, lost 2 so far in P-N. Winnings pretty much evened out by losses.

What about Rojas over Haussler @ 3 for tomorrow? Both will surely be there for the sprint (which is what I think we will have), but I can't really see Rojas beating Haussler. At odds of 3 it could be value though.

Rojas punctured on stage 1 so that doesn't really count, though I thaught it was value anyway.

thanks to Ferminal for mentioning Weylandt - seems to have been a lucky one but who cares...

3.00 is high (3.15 at Pina) but 9 out of 10 times Haussler beats Rojas.

Roche to beat Brajkovic, 1.75 is maybe a bit low. If we have a smaller pack Roche can sprint top 10, Brajkovic isnt able to do that.

Maybe something in Tirreno ... Sky to beat Leopard, i really like the line-up from Sky. 2.20 for top 3.

Didn't go with the Rojas one, but will back Rojas against Sagan if I find out that the latter is injured. I see several bookies haven't dared putting Sagan in a h2h.

Roche? I don't know. I have a feeling Ravard will be there, and then it's 50-50 against Brajkovic.

Put in some Tirreno bets, some are longshots.

HTC winner @ 2.35
Sky top 3 @ 2.20 - at least one of them should go in

Katusha winner @ 301 - They're not THAT sucky
Gasparotto @ 51 - overall Tirreno
Basso top 3 @ 5 - overall Tirreno

Calzati @ 51 for PN stage 4. Hoping for a breakaway win, and he has been losing time in the first two stages.

Sportingbet has Rojas against Sagan.
When he walked to the finishline he seemed pretty ok. Ofcourse that can be different some hours, or the morning after the crash.

Lampre-Euskaltel, 2 @ 10,69 at Pinny. Couldn't resist it :D

Euskaltel did come 2nd in the Vuelta 08 TTT with Martinez & Txurruka in the team, but unfortunately I think you are throwing your money out the window there ;)

I got on Movistar top 3 @ 15 as well. If the top 3 is HTC, Sky & Movistar I will be a happy man, but only one correct bet will be OK. Can see Garmin taking a podium spot though :(

TA Stage 1

HTC Win @ 2.35 (Centrebet)

I honestly can't seem them losing, it's an amazing team of pursuiters, engines, sprinters and TT specialists.

Sky over Leopard @ 1.85 (Centrebet)

Overall bets to come... has Gilbert said anything about not trying here, as his odds are outstanding.
