I wonder if it was Moscon that Tinkov was talking about when he said Sky where signing up future Talent

Pretty sure that was referring to the signings of Landa and Kwiatkowski. I can't see someone like Tinkov knowing a great deal about Moscon before he joined Sky.
It was 100% Moscon. Oleg lives in Italy, still loves cycling after all and has enough pals that already must've knewn about Gianni.

In reference to Landa & Kwiatkowski Oleg stated “Sky's killing the business!“

Moscon is down to ride Yorkshire next, which makes me think it's unlikely he'll ride the Giro given how much work he will have done already with little downtime for a neo-pro.

Yes, he wrote on twitter just now that he will take a rest and will be back racing in mid-June (either Suisse or Slovenia I guess). Sensible decision.

Gianni's stepping up now already. Sky Italia demands one Italian starlet at Sky anyway. Ain't gonna be surprised if he might co-lead at the Italian fall classics already. Like at Settimana Internazionale !

So does Pinarello, their bike sponsor.

Have to say, I'm not sure winning all 5 monuments is possible in modern cycling. I suspect it's just because he hasn't specialised yet that he seems to have that potential (there's a lot more all-rounders in the junior ranks), but if anyone can it's him and I'd love to be proved wrong. He should win Roubaix, he will surely be a top contender for Flanders, he could take La Doyenne if he goes for it, he's strong enough to take MSR if he can make a selection (especially if the Le Manie returns).

Sky Italia have as much of a say in it as you or I do.

Maybe let's start with the fact Sky Italia sold all its shares to Fox Century? :p Sky Italia has zero say because they are not involved in any way. Since 2013.

Wow - Not even half a season as a neo-pro and you are making predictions.

There is such a thing as junior and under-23 racing, you know. Surprisingly enough, they're often pretty good predictors of future success.

Many a junior and under 23 have come a cropper when they enter the pro ranks.

I usually get a sense of what a rider may achieve after 3 or 4 years, though of course there are exceptions.

Looks from the photo in the Team Sky thread like he'll be leading Sky in Slovenia (which would be pretty good), although one imagines Viviani and Nordhaug would both be out for stage wins.

I'm watching the highlights on rai sport right now, he was sliding around on the saddle a lot and still has to wok on his position, that was mostly a demonstration of raw power, Davide Martinelli looked so much smoother but still finised behind him.

Maybe Team Sky will work with him at the velodrome of Mallorca this winter as they have done for Landa. I will try to find the highlights on youtube. thanks for the info.

The tractor was just too strong.
One hell of a rider, have we ever seen a neopro doing so well at Team Sky?

We have Michele Bartoli in the making...

He looks good, nice attack. New FDJ pro, 21 year old Odd Kristian Eiking was right behind in 5th place. With Ag2R signing of Sondre Holst Enger it seems we got 2 new 20-21 year olds just like Thor Hushovd coming again after Boasson and Kristoff.

Why Norway produces these and not climbers i have no idea.. We should have climbers like Colombia :D

Interesting definition of "right behind". ;)

You would have to see the race , he was right behind cause he didnt jump the peloton .. He was in the peloton chasing; what was left of it..
