I was an Astanastan during the 2006 Vuelta, but not much afterwards, although Landa and Bilbao did reignite the flame a bit later on.

Vino's latest comments make it sound like it's either WT or bust, but we'll see whether wild cards will be enough to please their Chinese overlords in case it doesn't work out.

After endless years with DSM etc, Martijn Tusveld joins BEAT Cycling

"After receiving the news that I wouldn’t be getting a new contract in the WorldTour, I temporarily lost my motivation for the sport. However, my conversations with BEAT quickly made me realize that I’m not done racing yet. The club’s unique approach and the opportunity to combine my studies with my cycling career gave me the confidence and motivation to take this step."

I kid you not, this man was allegedly close to joining INEOS, until Ewan came onto the market.

Isn't he just the definition of pack fodder?
Counterpoint: how many riders on Unibet are better than him? And wouldn't he have been more useful as a domestique for Q36 than adding two failed sprinters/unproven leadouts to their existing sprint trains in Liepins and González, or than Lotto's much more fodder-y signings like Veistroffer or Van de Wynkele? Obviously he isn't a massive loss to the pro peloton but I do feel he's a bit too good to have to drop all the way down to Beat Cycling of all teams.

Vesitroffer proved up till now he might become a good pro, Van De Wynkele is one for the leadout train...but Tusveld could have had his place as well...

Fergus Browning sporting Jayco Hagens Berman kit on Strava, so it looks like the 21 yo has a team for the rest of the season.
