Good showing by Cleberson Weber.

Anyone who has some more information about this rider?

the brazilian are always of very high level(diniz, magno prado) and they are preparing for volta brasil in a few weeks. I think weber wanted to test himself. they have to be in good form now. also caio godoy is only 18 years old riding very strong san luis. weber btw is mostly itt guy

Nice win for Arredondo, Trek have got themselves a great new signing there. Happy for him (even if it does come at the disadvantage of my rider in decline CQ team ).

yes i think nairo's form is too much for january, he should take it slow. for sure at 90% if not even more.

He's going to have to go even better to keep his form comparable to Portes':p

Overall this race seems good (from reading the CN reports/ seeing this thread)/ i like the mountanious terrain, which Adelaide can't draw upon and both draw good fields. The TDU just seems to be closer each year than here though/ each has suspense.

Hoping for Arredondo to go well for the remainder of the year.

Sorry for being out of it but how come Diaz is going so bad here?

Several riders (Gaimon, Phinney, Farrar) report that some of the GC guys got "help" from team cars or motorcycles. I didn't get to see the video. They mentioned local GC guys, which I'm assuming could be either Argentinians or Team Colombia (or some of the Colombians in other teams). Anyone know which guys did this?

pathetic complaints really. it's a f;n climb. did the motobikes push them up the climb? that was not seen in the stream

Drafting or actual pushing?

A few days ago, Dehaes got punched in the face by Walter Perez, who apparently said to him 'we are Argentinians and we gone kill you', lol  although the last bit is media talk, so could be bullsh*t of course.

Here is what Taylor Phinney tweeted:
"Team Buenos Aires Provincia: one rider punches Dehaes in sprint on St 3, and today their team car runs over Tyler Farrar in the convoy. #wtf"

"Tyler w/a lot of road rash and maybe some broken ribs. Add this to local GC riders getting pushes from motos/cars on climbs... #BS #SanLuis"

and from Phil Gaimon:

Phil Gaimon ‏@philgaimon 12h
"Reports of GC riders hanging onto motos on the last climb today. Worse than doping."

Both of these guys have been constantly praising the race & have not said anything negative until now. I don't think they would do that just to complain or make it up.

I did see a commentator talking to a guy who was listening to the radio :).

If we all went by the "I didn't see it on the stream, so it didn't happen" attitude, no one would have even finished some of these stages :D
