And so Lance sleeps 'The Boss' Armstrong's Army Premium Hotel in the industrial zone in Munsbach.A brand new four star business that normally would be open this weekend.

"The nice thing about Tour of Luxembourg is that every day you stay in the same bed, because the distances in the Grand Duchy are easily bridged," said team manager Johan Bruyneel.

Armstrong has not enjoyed his best start to the year, being forced to abandon most of his spring schedule through illness, followed by the crash in California. Bruyneel is not worried though, as he sees the American is up for the Tour and he thinks he knows why. "His tremendous motivation especially strikes me,” he explained. “Maybe that strength also comes from the remarks of Floyd Landis.”

Further than that Bruyneel is not prepared to discuss the Landis allegations, other than to dismiss them as he has done before "For us, the case was closed," said Bruyneel. "We will no spend more energy in the case,” he said. “As for Lance, we know that he performs best when he feels exasperated. I notice that now.

"This is perhaps the biggest boost in view of the Tour," he continued. "When he feels unfairly attacked, then he is at his best on the bike. If he also spared from crashes and setbacks, then fine."

Towards the end of last year Armstrong admitted that he often created conflict with his rivals in order to get the psychological upper hand; although he claimed that his conflict with then teammate Alberto Contador was real. This year the motivating conflict has been created for him.

When I think 'family man', I think of a guy who puts his family's needs above his own, not the other way around. Those of us who put our needs below that of our family would rightly take offense.

MULTI family man.... serial progenitor man.... I could understand those...

I'd like to skirt chase with reckless abandon (with starlets, no less, leave my kids with their mother, ditch my celeb girlfriend in her time of greatest need and still be lauded for my virtuousness. ) It's easy to see how he believes his own BS.

He used the: "collarbone ruined my prep" line, last year, having raced quite considerably.
This year, he's had nothing but preparation problems, DNFs and he crashed out of his second major goal of the year. Plus dealing with the Landis stink bomb on his and Hoggie's doorstep.

So, of course, we get the miracle of the: "he's finding his strength" bullsheet line, from Belgium's answer to the Russian mafia.
Newsflash: His strength was never lost. Just locked away in "The Cabinet of Doctor Ferrari".

3 strikes and you are out. All wrong my friend. The course doesn't suit, it is the most competitve field I can just about remember and you don't just get enthusiastic about the TDF in June with no racing in your legs and expect to be remotely competative. But it Lance though eh

OK so ASO and the UCI will do very well out of having him in the TdF but if a guy with a lot of commercial clout and a whole series of positive EPO tests is not sanctioned (despite a top WADA blood doping expert going on record to say that he cheated) then something is very rotten in cycling.

Lance lost 3 minutes in the final stage of the Tour of Luxembourg and should not have finished on the podium. After the race ended it was reported that LA had not finished on the podium, but then the gaps on the stage were neutralized. It apparently happened after the results were in. I don't know that we can say LA has found his legs, but possibly some might say that he's found his wallet.

Sounds like LA doesn't understand that the fan was doing it to his face. If you're in earshot of it, and the fan is yelling at it you, that's saying it to your damm face.
