Are you really defending his selection for the National Team for what he has done in Benfica B? How ridiculous is that? We're not San Marino(no offense), we're Portugal.

You were baited my friend, don't put words in my mouth.

Did I ever said on some post that Ivan Cavaleiro deserved to be on the National Team in the World Cup?

Please show me.

Edit:

"Gomes,Almeida,Cavaleiro and Amorim from Benfica are all 4 on the World Cup list for the National team, most of any team."

If this is defending anything, you must be some kind of psychic, it's just a fact.

You suggested it.
Best portuguese players?

Gomes,Almeida,Cavaleiro and Amorim from Benfica are all 4 on the World Cup list for the National team, most of any team.

There.

Then tell me, now that you've forgotten about midfielders and wingers, do you agree with his selection?

There.

No I didn't, I was referring to your previous comment.

Not really, I'm not anti-anything at all. Just a portuguese football fan cheering for the best portuguese players on the field.

Thank you Beto, Carriço, and Figueiras.

Are you really defending that Beto, Carriço and Figueiras are better than all portuguese Benfica players?

That's... But I respect your opinion, even if it's debatable.

But saying that I were defending Ivan Cavaleiro place on the portuguese National Team, it's just plain ridiculous.

Yesterday, they were, no doubt. And you didn't answer me.

I was just presenting facts, portuguese benfica's players are a joke, and the club itself shows it by putting them on the field only when the foreign players aren't available.

And I'm done here, now it's my turn to say:

Not gonna spend more time on a ...

And actually do it, unlike someone, as I already wrote all I had to say.

Don't go away, I like when you try to change quotes from previous posts to prove your point and now you say funny things like "yesterday, they were", so they aren't in reality right?

Thanks for admitting that.

And portuguese Benfica players aren't a joke, they are all international players and have international market, we are national champions and reached 3 finals one of them european (sadly you being portuguese, cheered for the spanish team, but that's your choice) and they all were (except Cavaleiro) a big part of that.

Can you believe this guy? :D

He send me a private message with this:

Guess people don't get education from parents and school nowadays, always funny when someone shows his true self.

Aye, just take a guess who that person in the picture is ;)
Tired of trolls, go edit the messages you want just to say it's me who changed the quotes.

I apologize for feeding those creatures.

Edit: Jorge Jesus is a mirror of its club. Also, ask anyone who has seen Sevilla games, what they think of Beto's and Carriço's performances this season. They've been amazing. About your portuguese players in benfica, I've already wrote everything I had to, they don't have a place in benfica's main squad, nor in our national team.

You send me an insulting private message and I'm the troll?

You just registered on this forum (a cycling one!), to spend your time on a football thread mocking Benfica and me, typical childish behavior.

Stay classy, I'm enjoying the show.

My guess, it's not your first account on this forum.

Keep provoking and trolling like you've been doing since you've quoted me for the first time, everytime you do that, go see the class of your coach in that picture, I really have nothing else to say.

Also, I've registered because of Giro, but allways have been a reader of this great cycling forum.

You started provoking since the beginning, I was the first poster in the topic, you just came here to provoke and troll (and you don't admit you are from that North club or the green "rival"), so don't lie.

Limpinho, limpinho
It's funny as hell to see you talk about referees.

And it's a fact the Benfica got robbed, It's even the spanish press that says.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXSkLyHxc94

But like I said in my first post, before you came trolling, " it was our fault not converting the opportunities. "

It's obvious, B3n3v3nt3 = Benavente = Santarém = club that finished 7th last season and doesn't win a championship in 14 years.

I don't have to lie, it's everything here in the topic, unless you go edit your messages again.

And I never said benfica wasn't robbed, it's just funny to see you complain when the other way around happens, you lot just whistle like nothing happened.

Académica, a small and humble club unlike benfica, which has over 500 millions euros in debts and supports portuguese players so badly.

1st - I wrote a message about Benfica losing the final, by his own fault, even with those important injuried players, bad referee and a supposed curse.

2nd - You quote me, saying " limpinho, limpinho" = translation "clean, clean" and saying it was funny that I call out the refs, when it isn't, because now even you admit Benfica was "robbed".

3rd - You said you cheered for Sevilla because they had "the best portuguese players", that portuguese Benfica players are a joke.

4th - You send me an offensive private message, without context.

5th - You try to put words in my mouth without success.

6th - " It's just funny to see you complain when the other way around happens "

Maybe you think I'm someone else, where the hell I complain the other way around when it happens?

This looks like a Monty Python episode or something.

Here's your first quote.
...you are just happy for the others misfortunes like small people do.

And you think my private message was offensive? It's your own coach!

Besides the constant provoking...even in the last post. Seriously.

"you" as in benfica fans. Is it a crime to be amused when you complain of referees when you guys have so much help from them in our league?

I'm proud of my team, we play with what we have.

Edit: Hell, you even had the nerve to start that nonsense about wingers.

Not it's not my coach and even if it were my dad, sending a picture doing that finger gesture it's offensive and you knew that, that's why you used the private message to provoke me.

Do you know, that being a Benfica fan doesn't oblige you to share the coaches/president opinions or even like them? I like the club, history, tradition, players,etc...
Being German on the WW2 time, doesn't mean that all Germans were Nazis.

It's easy to see that you hate Benfica and it's fans, but unlike you, when Academica plays in European competitions (it's rare, but it happens) I can cheer for them, i'm not blinded like hate like you seem to be.

And you know that big clubs are always protect on the national championships, that happens everywhere, not only in Portugal with the 3 big clubs.

How could I support a club that rarely plays with portuguese players?
Yesterday was one of those exceptions, since there was no other option.

Do they?

I see no difference to the what the big 3 do in Portugal as what the big 2 in Spain have done. If they protected the league in Portugal why were the big 3 taking 70% of the TV rights in the old TV deal and left the smaller clubs to scraps?

Last year, I was reading Benfica kept their TV rights to their own TV channel. Going out on their own selling the rights independently and not collectively and evenly distributed like they do in the Premiership, can't be good for the competitive nature of the league in Portugal.

That is because a club TV channel is the only alternative to the previously set, mafioso supremacy of olivedesportos. They had the complete monopoly of broadcasting rights (they still do expect for Benfica home games) and sold them at ridiculous prices to the highest bidder, which by the way is SportTV, which by the way also has ridiculously high prices for you to be able to get their feed. With BenficaTV (and Sporting is likely to follow) many more people have access to their team's home games (only these though) at lower prices. They also got the rights for Premiership.

I meant protected by the referees. ;)

But BigMac already responded very well referring to TV Rights, I wouldn't change a word on that subject.

I read that about them acquiring the Premiership rights also. There was an interesting discussion about this on the radio last year over here and how this was a ground breaking move by Benfica.

Ridiculous prices by the TV broadcasters wasn't really whatt I was getting at, although I take your point as you're more informed on the matter. For instance, in England you have to pay huge prices for both subscribing to Sky Sports and BT Sport but the TV money both domestically and internationally are distributed more evenly. I should know, I subscribe to both. Before 2007 Sky had a monopoly on the Premiership but they were still distributed the same as they do now. Even if they are more affordable to Benfica fans, it's to the lesser good of the league with them out of a more collective TV deal.

United wanted to sell theirs on their own back in 2003 but it got shot down quickly by the other Premiership clubs. Ian Ayre the managing director at Liverpool said while the domestic rights should be divided more evenly, the international rights should be sold independently by clubs themselves. United and Liverpool know they would be massive beneficiaries of this if it came to it. Similarly if they did what Benfica did with their own channels domestically(MUTV and LFC TV), the lesser clubs in the league would suffer with them out of a collective deal. The TV rights just like with Benfica out of it in Portugal, are less attractive and of less value. For all the criticism the Premiership gets with greed accusation, thankfully this will never happen as you need two-thirds majority for anything like this to go through.

Academica has been mentioned on here. Do they even have a TV channel? Who would subscribe to them outside of the clubs's fanatical fans if they had a TV channel of their own and tried something similar? Their subscriptions would be a drop in the ocean in comparison to Benfica's. Like the old TV deal which was scandalously in favour of the big 3 with them acquiring 70% on the TV rights, this arrangement with Benfica is detrimental to lesser clubs in the league.

It's still a monopoly. Even worse now with Benfica buying the TV rights of other professional teams competing in the same country, like Farense, and they also wanted Boavista, not sure how that ended up though.

I'd like to know what FIFA has to say about that.
