Snipped..

It was a stinker of a game and couldn't wait for it to end. You see Azpilicueta in the last few minutes taking an eternity to take a throw in. That was the message and mentality instilled.

Can football get any worse that the garbage Mourinho offers?
I'm thinking of Rehhagel's Greece a few years back as a baseline.

Anyway now the clown wants to play mind games with the owner of the club.

Wants to field a second-rate team in PL....

Doesn't take too much education to see what hes up to here.

The Champions League isn't really that much down to him. The team he has inherited is miles better than any team he has encountered in the tournament so far. Schalke, Basel, Galatasaray, PSG, Atletico, these are all teams chelsea would have been expected to beat regardless who the manager. Home field for second leg every time too.

Honestly if Manchester United had that draw people would be talking about how succesful his opening season was.
As a Manchester United supporter, i have to disagree with this I'm afraid. I mean If Moyes had United play so good, that you would before a game vs PSG or Atletico be confident about a victory, he would not have been sacked. Unfortunately it was not the case, when Bayern seriously needed goal and stopped their endless possession play, they got goals right away, literally. Beside, United was very close beeing kicked out by Olympiakos. So even do, as a United supporter, I would like to agree with you, I simply can not. United never played on a level this season, where it would make sence to excpect a victory against PSG or Atletico. If you look at how United did against top teams from Premier Leauge, you will also notice, how much they struggled against teams better than Southampton.

PSG is not a bad side at all, and to say that chelseas squad is miles better, is not something I would agree with at all. Marginally better, perhaps, but not miles better. Chelsea have some worldclass players yes, but so do PSG. Thiago Silva, Cavani, Zlatan and so on is not nobodies. Normally atletico would not be a world class side, that is true, but all that matters is what they are right now, when Chelsea is facing them. And this season they are ahead of Barcelona and Real Madrid, with 4 games to go in La Liga and they of course knocked out Barcelona in Champions Leauge. If that is not world class, I don't know what is. Beside, it is of course not like this is the first time Mourinho show's hiss skills in Champions Leauge.

Atletico are a very good side but like I said above, they have a smaller wage bill than QPR and Fulham.
That really tells you more about how QPR and Fulhams use their money don't it? And of course about the financial difference between England and Spain, with the exception of Barcelona and Real Madrid. I mean what did QPR pay Zamora a week? 100 thousand pund? Or something like that, if you spend money like that, what does it mean in terms of squad strength? What good does it do Mourinho that Torres is paid ten times as much as Diego Costa, when Torres is no where near Costas level? Of course it is very, very impressive work they have done in atletico and of course their lack of finance will probably mean that they can not continue to be at this level. But all that is not something Mourinho can use when he set up his team against Atletico, at that point all that matters is the level of the current atletico squad and coach and that is not a bad level at all.

* All this does not mean that I like watching Mourinhos Chelsea play or would ever cheer for them ( beside when they play Liverpool, especially this Saturday:p) But even if the example with QPR and Fulham is fun and interesting, it does not mean that because of that, Chelsea should just go out and kill Atletico on their home soil. Barcelona and Real Madrid could not do that either this season.

Tito Vilanova dies: Ex-Barcelona coach loses cancer battle aged 45

Former Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova has died aged 45 after a long battle with cancer.

Vilanova had a tumour removed from his throat in November 2011 before suffering a relapse in December 2012.

"FC Barcelona is in immense mourning. Tito Vilanova has died at the age of 45. May he rest in peace," said a statement from the Spanish club.

Terrible news. RIP Tito.

A big part of the golden period that Barca had. Football is a lesser place without him.

De Telegraaf newspaper in Holland are saying Van Gaal to United is a done deal. United have denied it just now but a few UK journalists on twitter are saying the paper in question supposedly has good links to Van Gaal. Make of it what you may.

Chelsea continues to be the most boring team in all of football with their win at Anfield today. Really poor stuff. Liverpool had so many close chances. But its extremely hard to score when Chelsea park the freaking bus. If Chelsea had actually played football, Liverpool would have won this easily.

Football is diverse, fortunately I would say. What Chelsea played today i still football. Not that I find Chelsea s tactic super exciting, but you give the answer yourself, to why Chelsea played like they did today. And if it means the diver Stevie G will never win the Premier League, It works very well for me:)

Moyes getting sacked, Giggs tearing Norwich apart and Liverpool possibly missing out on the title. Best week all season for a United fan, I have to say.

Real Madrid have been superb but Bayern have not defended well at all, I wonder if winning the title a while ago has taken them off the boil instead of playing important matches every week.

It's not only defense.

They have had about 1 good chance that I can remember in about 130 minutes of play

Yes very true, they seem fixated on possession football instead of going in for the kill and it's cost them massively here.

Pep's teams can never defend - flat track bullies.

I'm always mystified why he insists on pairing attacking brilliance with laughably **** centre halves.

Lacks pace at the back.

Kroos and Schweinsteiger don't have defensive instincts to deal with the counter attack and be disciplined enough to hold back to stop it. Heynckes was playing Martinez in midfield to help out here but Guardiola is obsessed with this passing style he's won't sacrifice one of them.

Guardiola accepted this job last January and they had more or less the league nearly wrapped up. I think Guardiola looked at it and thought they wouldn't win the Champions League but had the basis of a team to do it. Had that been the case, losing the semi tonight wouldn't have heaped too much pressure on him as in comparison to now with the team coming off a treble and trying to live up to those standards. Guardiola probably thought in a circumstance where Heynckes wasn't going to win the Champions League, he'd still have his CV protected by winning domestically where he could move on to the Premiership down the road.

I don't think he would have accepted it if he was offered it after the treble was won.

Real played superbly, that was the best I've seen in a long time. Bayern defense is way overrated because no one challenges them in the Bundesliga, but once the speed picks up they lose their sh*t

The German Cup final is going to be even more interesting after this.

What if Pep loses that?

Not saying he should get sacked(I don't think he should) but they way things are in Bayern, pressure would start to build on him. Beckenbauer is a big critic of his style of play.

Barca always got worse under pep in the lead up to a world or euro champs.

Maybe this is good news for Germany.

Wow, who saw that coming?

I can't imagine the horror of Chav$ki going through, and Mou beating Real with the kind of obscene, defensive football that they have been playing recently.
