Weird, this guy was supposed to be the great hope of Asian footballers in the Uk, was a neat and tidy player but never had the pace and power to really make it at the top level of English Football.

Got into a lot of debt from gambling, and career has been blighted by injury, looks like he has gone over the edge soemwhat, not sure what his gripe with Ashley Williams is though? Perhaps he blames him for an injury or somethins.

Always a shame when someone ends up like this, think his dad owned/owns a shop in Bensham.

Arsenal told Fabregas they won't be buying him back from Barca. He supposedly wanted to come back.

I won't be too critical if at all with Wenger on this one. I touched on it up thread where I mentioned where we would he fit in. Not that I would have complained had he returned, there's just too much of a congestion in the attacking midfield area at Arsenal and you can't blame Wenger too much for backing out of this one.

A striker and a right back to replace Sagna are bigger priorities. If a midfielder is needed, a defensive one would need to be acquired.

Thanks god he is out of Barca. As a fan of Cesc and Barca,I admit that this barca's sh:t playing tactique are really bad for Fabregas.
And those matches they put him in like a 'forward',oh my,I was so p:ssed, ridiculous

edit: I heard rumours that Chelsea can be the team. But I dont think thats wise either.(Hazard,Oscar etc.)

Blatter is a joke.

I would celebrate that clown's fall from grace 10 times more than I ever did with McQuaid and Verbruggen if he ever gets his just desserts in the near future.

You're interested in Dutch football? :p

There was no rights here last season when ESPN UK stopped showing football and all I had was a useless few minutes goal round up which were a couple weeks behind the real action.

Before that I always watched the hour weekly round up. I always like to look out for the young talent there. For instance last year I couldn't tell how young players like de Vilhena, Clasie, Boetius, Klassen or any of the Dutch based internationals got on last season.

This is great news for me.:)

Not many options once we hit £30M, but this might work.

Anyway I see Arsenal wants to sign Bibotelli. Good luck.

Till they get Balotelli they just lost Bacary Sagna to the Citizens.

I like Sagna as a player and this was to be expected. £150,000pw is some increase on the wages he was on at Arsenal and even a lot more than the new deal he was offered to stay at the club.

Great deal for a 31 year old.

I hope we sign Aurier from Toulouse. Excellent right back where he can also play on the left and has played even at centre back in a back three for his club this season. He would give very good versatility.

You'll see him for the Ivory Coast in the World Cup.

(CNN) -- One of Germany's most famous footballers has been banned by soccer's ruling body for failing to cooperate with an investigation into corruption within the game.

Franz Beckenbauer, the only man to win the World Cup as captain and coach, has been provisionally suspended from any football-related activity for 90 days.

FIFA said in a statement Friday that the 68-year-old had been asked to help with its Ethics Committee's probe into allegations against Qatar 2022 and the World Cup bidding process.

"The apparent breach relates to Mr. Beckenbauer's failure to cooperate despite repeated requests for his assistance, including requests that he provide information during an in-person interview or in response to written questions provided in both English and German," FIFA said.

Unbelievable.

Tomorrow The Sunday Times have some more stuff against FIFA. The reporter below is one of two journalists(the other being Jonathan Calvert) who have done the reporting on this.

Heidi Blake @heidiblakeST · 18m
Interestingly #Qatar2022 finally cracked & admitted "relationship" with Mohd Bin Hammam after we confronted them with this week's #FifaFiles

This one is extraordinary. She just retweeted it.

Harry Sherlock @Harry_Sherlock · 34m
Sunday Times revelations tomorrow perhaps the most shocking of all. 'Fifa ignored own terror alert'. #FifaFiles
