That's 3 years straight they PFA player of the year has been transferred off straight away and last 2 years it was to Spain. EPL is in danger of becoming a El Classico feeder league.
Doesn't Suarez's in-laws live from near Barcelona hence him keen to move there.

This article is well worth a read.

The incredibly stupid transfer of Suarez to Barca is done, apparently for 81m euros.

I'm speechless.
Everything is going nuts lately in the spanish league about these transfer prices, but i though the problem at Barca was the defence, not the attack:eek:Anyway Messi is ****ed ,Suarez is crazy,he really likes to be the one who pull the strings,i hardly wait to see them on the pitch together:D

Nicollin says Remy Cabella to Newcastle is agreed.

I think he's a very good signing. He will surprise a few next season with how good he is.

Meanwhile Feyenoord is making a lot of money (for a Dutch club) with transfers. Pellè to Southampton (8-10m euros) and Janmaat to Newcastle (7.5) are confirmed. Martins Indi is expected to move to FC Porto this week (8m). Lazio still interested in De Vrij but no agreement yet between the clubs. Porto also seems interested in Clasie, but Feyenoord doesn't want to let him go, only for a high offer (10+ million).

will be interesting to see if kroos, james and modric can play together.
i think all three fancy the central midfield position.

I don't think the problem will be fitting them in a midfield necessarily, Kroos and especially Modric are very intelligent players. The problem will be how to effectively defend with all of them in one midfield. Kroos is no Alonso defensively and James is no Di Maria in that respect either.
So Bale will have to play as left back again probably. ;)

Sanchez and Debuchy signed, Ospina and Chambers on the way.

Things are looking very optimistic.

Watched Arsenal's friendly against NY Red Bulls last night, Henry is still a classy player. More than good enough to still play in the Premiership or any other major league today.

Khedira?

Is this the most that Wenger has signed established/star players in one transfer windows?

I would say since the transfer system of two windows(sunmer and January) was introduced in 2002, this is his best window. Debuchy and Sanchez are established and Ospina who Wenger said will start as back up, is really too good to be a No.2 keeper. Szczesny will have to be on his best form from now on. Chambers has good potential, he played mainly right back last year but Wenger said he can play centre back as well. For me an upgrade on Jenkinson who I'm not sure is good enough anyway. He'll probably move on.

Khedira's wage demands are crazy. I can't see that deal been done in the circumstances. Schneiderlin is heavily linked. I was reading a few days ago if Wenger can't get a defensive midfielder he's thinking of using Wilshere as a deep lying midfielder.

Vermaelen's future is in the balance. I think he will leave and a centre back will arrive in his place.

I hope so. He's very much what we need.

Now Schneiderlin and Jay Rodriguez are meant to be close to joining Spurs.

Well the spending mightn't be stopping there either by the sound of things.

A couple of Colombian journalists are saying Juan Quintero with Porto is likely on his way. I seen him in the U-20 World Cup last year and he played in a friendly in the Emirates as well and he impressed me hugely. Great left leg and plays very much in the mould of Mata.

Arsenal have a congestion of similar players like him and if this happens, I can see departures. Podolski and probably even Cazorla could be possibilities. Campbell mightn't be kept on and it likely means buying another attacking midfielder would mean Sanchez playing through the middle as a striker and not a wide player.

Jenkinson is close to joining West Ham on loan. Good signing for them. A huge upgrade on Joey O'Brien.

EDIT: The news about Quintero.

What about Jenkinson? Worth a starting place with us?

I think he will be. I say he could take Demel's place and Jenkinson can even move over to left back if needs be. He has done that on a few occasions for Arsenal.

This move is the best for him as I don't think he's ready to be a regular at a top 4 club like Arsenal just yet. His role was heavily restricted with Sagna's presence and he couldn't get momentum into his game while getting all too rare a starting place in the team. At the start of the 12/13 season, Sagna was missing for the first couple of months with an injury and Jenkinson with a prolonged stayed in the team played excellent. Easily his best patch of form for the club and had some great away performances against Man City and Liverpool which resulted in an England call-up. Once Sagna got fit again, his progress trying to push on in his development was held back to a significant degree and that was all to be seen last season. I will add in an away performance against Bayern in the Champions League in 2013 where he stood out once again. That shows he definitely has ability but a lengthy run of games is what is needed to help develop his game on and to see it on a more consistent basis. That wasn't going to happen with Debuchy arriving and even more so after Chambers signing.

I hope and I'd be optimistic of seeing a good season from him. I think it's a very good addition.

I don't think that United v Liverpool game tonight will be played like a friendly.

That will be a competitive game.

Rodwell to Sunderland.
