yeah and boring as hell. I've seen vegetables with more charisma and flair than him

That doesn't deter me one bit, as long as he keeps progressing at this rate it's fine with me.

I can understand that, however, my contention is how many more times will he have to take a tumble in order to reach a general concession that the fault may not lay with bad luck alone. Nibali's case is an isolated one, Gesink's is a recurring theme.
I'm probably just too frustrated by the fact that Gesink crashes so much, I know it's not always his fault but it's like a waiting game with him all the time. Dreadful for a supporter.
Indeed, just as it's agonizing to watch Gesink falter on explosive finishes, it's agonizing to watch flat stages where he always managed to find a crash even if it isn't his fault.
Gesink supporters have a hard life ;)

I know more and more how the Cadel supporters feel :p only exchange hills for high mountains and falls with general bad luck.

Gesink tends to stay to the outside of a peleton even if it is up front theres more chance of crashes here. At least that would make sense unlike Ryo's mystical nonsense.

Of course Kruijswijk will never have the amazing charisma of Jose Rujano. That guy really fills the room, wherever he goes.

rujano has start appearance, just look at his mafia face, not to mention the stuff he says in interviews, never a dull moment with someone like rujano.

Pretty hard race to begin with. Luckily the field isn't that strong this year so he should be able to at least finish

with the amount of contraction going on in the pro ranks I think this is a cool relationship between Vaughters and Deeker. JV has to have a huge stack of resumes for very few jobs. Deeker must have said and done things to make himself very, very attractive. Right off of the suspension and getting a tour ride is great for Thomas.

TD won today in the Duo Normand with Vansummeren

1 Dekker/Vansummeren
2 Roux/Roy @ 1m15
3 Mouris/Keizer 2m06
4 Bodrogi/Champion 2m31
5 Simon/Poux 3m43

So a nice result for him. With Rasmussen going out at Garmin it might lead to an (extra) opportunity for TD to go to the pro team in 2012.

From the interview I get the impression that Vaughters wants to make Dekker his b*tch. Interesting work dynamic.

Hmmm... Sounds like Vaughters will hire the scum. AFAIK he's still got a number of open roster slots.

He admitted taking EPO between 2007-2008. What does it say about the sport when people welcome this cheat back with open arms?

A very large percentage of the peloton doped at one point or another. Some were caught, some weren't. Garmin take the view that they only care about whether a rider is doping now, which is perfectly reasonable on their terms and in their situation.

Dekker has served his time. If he does it again, then he deserves the lifetime ban. If he really is trying to give it a shot clean, I don't think he's inherently less worthy of another chance than a huge number of others.

It says less than teams hiring riders who the entire peloton knows are juiced but have not been caught.
