At some point, maybe we all need to stop thinking we need to be the moral compass for every single person who finds themselves in the public eye.

Not that I'm saying it is not a very funny picture.

For some reason it appears she is ok with Tiger now that she made her opinion of his behavior known.

I can think of several hundred million reasons why she is ok with whatever he does.

Got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Goes to show all the money in the world can't correct a naive man. The mistress is willing to release taped conversation to prove what he has done. lol

The burning question is.... is his wife available for a little play on the side?
The burning question is.... Why should we care??

Erin might share an attorney with the mistress and cash in as well. Tiger's endorsments might go the way Kobe's did so she should score big now...at least Erin won't have to go back to sitting for porn shots.

After stating that shallow stuff this shouldn't be anyone's business but theirs...

Who's Erin? Her name is Elin, and she's never done porn.

I guess it is 300 million if she kicks him out - 600 million if she chooses to make him stay (and show that he is truly sorry).

As an aside, she is a lot quieter than a lot of sports star wives - perhaps a reason this press is going to make a really bad situation much worse - too bad he was thinking with his putter since she seems to dislike the media and his other women have somewhat of an attention seeking personality.

I guess this leaves lance Armstrong as the last squeeky clean modern American spotrs superstar

I guess this is just more evidence (like we needed more) the guys that get to the top, in business, sports, politics, celebrity have a strong tendency to be narcissistic a-holes. Success is no indication of decency, or even competence, in other endeavors.

His wife has largely gotten lost in this saga [correction: epic saga], and she is the one he needs to make it right with. I am sure she ain't perfect, either, but to be so publicly humiliated and disrespected....what amount of money is worth that? I say none. She holds the key to his recovering. Not the fans, not the sponsors, not golf.

He still seems to suffer from a measure of denial, based on the last statements on his site. He needs to answer questions and it won't stop until he does.

Personally, I think he needs to answer questions but not necessarily from the press. Every time the press prints something it will be a harm to his wife and someday to his children. He is responsible for causing the harm but they are the ones that will get hurt the most from it. We do not "need" to know the answers to the questions we have. On the other hand his wife certainly deserves to get answers to any question she has.

I disagree (marginally). "We" society, the masses, the consumers, whatever you want to call 'us' - are driving this story - the coverage is going to exact a toll. His statement yesterday went some distance in stopping the bleeding. But I see him and Elin winding up on a couch on TV soon. Pick one: Oprah, Barbara Walters, Dr Phil. (They ought to go on tyra banks so she can just talk about herself for the whole hour) A full press conference is too out of control. 1 interviewer, 1 hour (including commercials) he can probably survive and they can come out of it with the story more or less over.

I agree. His wife has got to have a firm handle on where she stands going forward and he needs to understand the cost if it happens one more time. The guy has been in the public eye since like 17 years old. He is an immature 33 year old who probably should not have gotten married when he did. But that's all history now. He more or less has treated her like a baby making slave (see: Pre-nup.). That's all changed now.

"He" doesn't need to answer anything. If I was advising him the statement would have been this:

"My family issues are private. Any speculation is just that."

He is an idiot, but there is no law against that. Idiot for not covering his tracks, using his own cell phone, flying that one to Australia and leaving a paper trail, etc. Not an idiot for screwing around.

You see, you guys and the media tsk tsk a famous athlete when this stuff happens and you have no idea what goes on in his life. Posting pix of his wife as if the beauty of a wife determines whether one strays.

He has opportunities when his wife acts like a you-know-what. If anybody says they wouldn't at least feel tempted then they are a liar. IMO most would stray if they were Tiger Woods, or Magic Johnson, or Steve McNair.

As with LA/Kristen, nobody knows the intricacies of their marriage so judging is stupid.

His endorsements may take a small hit initially, but not long term. Not only are Americans insanely hypocritical and uppity, but they also have short memories.

Couldn't agree more. "He who looks at another woman with lust has already committed adultery in his heart"
Typical christian bigotry. Deeming the mechanism, upon our survival as a species rests, as a SIN, tells a lot about a mind that must've been quite judgemental and unsound.

Agreed 100%
With all that kind of money and he's so stupid not to make the whole infidelity a prudent matter-on the other hand, this is a huge eye opener for his wife to wake the fvck up and start milking his money before is gone...

I like Tig's wife.

I think she is a class act. I appreciate how she has handled everything so far.

Stanford does not teach common sense Tiger. I have seen many Stanford graduates here in Cali do dumb things.

As my wife told me "Never trust a blond" I might add with a 9 Iron.

PS: My wife is blond.

A bit careless to drive striaght into the water hazard! I also heard that it was Tigers first ever drive under 100 yards .

Still when you've got as much money as Tiger has and super hot women are throwing themseleves at you on a daily basis its not surprising he's playing away.

No, he doesn't need to, but if he wants the image battering to end sooner rather than later and on his terms rather than someone else's, answering questions will help out a lot more than one more idiotic self-serving statement on a web page. He will lose less endorsements sooner but will lose lots later. The endorsement crash may happen regardless at this point and should not be his focus. His focus ought to be to save his family and to do what he can, if anything, to earn her trust and her respect. That really has zero to do with the public. I am discussing multiple problems he has.

Any guy whose brain is wired anything like mine is gonna get tired of any p--sy sooner or later. It's just the way the average man's brain works. We are programmed to spread our seed with as many mates as possible. Our humanity does its best to overwhelm that urge.

Thanks for passing judgment on Americans. I didn't realize the rest of the world is so different (mostly because they are not so different).
