I doubt Kittel is on less than Cav, I think several teams would have paid big money for him when they realised he was available and leaving Giant last year.

I think he is still happy to trade a top 3-5 sprinter for the best plus one of the biggest talents.

Yeah, its a good deal. Mostly because Gaviria is gonna be worth a shitload. Kittel isn't worth that much. Couple of stage wins in GT's and other WT races and maybe some flat one day races. The fact that he can't recover from climbing a speedbump hurts his worth so, so much.

Montefalco is 5.5km, 4.1%, max. 18%, long stretches with gradients of over 12%, Trevi is 4.0km, 5.3%, max. 16% (from CyclingQuotes.com).Miburo said:How hard are these hills at the end?

From a commercial point of view, winning 4 flat tdf stages > winning all 5 monuments in the same year. So Kittel is worth a lot, if he can get back to his former self.

But that was the team that didn't like the test results and didn't want him.
It wasn't Sagan not accepting an offer
They did like the results but they like kwiatkowski his results better

Yeah, 'they liked Kwiatkowski better' might be true, but Kwiatkowski signed for Caisse and was loaned out to Caja Rural. So, they're unrelated

Sagan's story is that they didn't want him at all, at any salary. Says he was so angry at thinking he was a failure that he went home and smashed a bike. Supposedly. Why would he make up that he was told he wasn't good enough?
Too hard for ewan and even Gaviria, Montefalco climb has 1 km at 11% with 18% slopes.Velolover2 said:Another Gaviria vs. Ewan sprint today?
The stage doesn't look hard enough for them to get dropped.
Wouldn't rule out Gaviria just yet.pablohidalgo7 said:Too hard for ewan and even Gaviria, Montefalco climb has 1 km at 11% with 18% slopes.Velolover2 said:Another Gaviria vs. Ewan sprint today?

Ewan will be very lucky to get over; very lucky or very strong. Tinkoff and DD will be going all out on that last climb to drop him, Viviani and Gaviria. Add in a few attacks on the <10% section and then it will be a very hard stage. I have no idea if Gaviria will get over them. He did well in that hilly San Luis stage and that climb was a similar length just not as steep and more regular, and also he was in comparatively better shape than the other guys. Interesting stage. Let's go![]()
