The limited length of this TT probably suits him well with his track experience. He's up there with the best, but I would put Dennis and Evenepoel above him in a longer TT. Possibly Van Aert also.

Evenepoel smoked him in the flat part of the San Juan ITT earlier this year. As well as in the Euro TT last year, averaging over 59km/h in the first 10k of the ITT.

I have no idea how Ganna did this but looking at Campenaerts' and Dennis' results I think he would actually have won against Evenepoel today. No idea if he's totally on the up or if this is an outlying performance.

San Juan and Alkmaar were also short. And even at flat intermediates it wasn't close. Ganna takes 18s on Campenaerts... Since the EC ITT, neither of them beat Evenepoel, whatever course.

Only the last couple riders rode in the storm. Ganna had the same conditions as Remco.

Not in the first (flat) part. They only rode a few minutes apart as well.

Oh yes, I'm not discounting Remco. It's just that he's out of action right now, so I was thinking of this little window in time of today.
