I have googled this in French and in English, and i can confirm nobody has ever accused Bardet of being bad at climbing. At least not in French or English, online.

You may be right. Obviously since he moved away from the track he has had time do that, but I'm not sure how much he has benifited from it when comes to riding in the mountains. But he's obviously a better puncheur than he used to be, but so was Ewan a couple of years ago.
