It's of course not the nicest type of MTF, but there is something fascinating about such a headwind climb.

I don't think I've ever seen someone win a MTF from the favorites group while mabye being like 20th best.

Yes he seemed to be loitering a lot in the back, sheltering in the wind sure but also probably a bit in trouble. But these winds were not kind to any attackers. But in the end he delivered!

He did not show himself at the front until the very end of the stage and I agree he is not at his best at the moment, but 20th best? The ones that attacked barely held on at the end, so I believe it was smart riding from Rogla and in the end he won by a bike and a half, so pretty good.

The white jersey makes Almeida look visually much wider/thicker than most of the other guys in that finish. Clearly an illusion
