Castelfidardo 2021, the really long solo while Pogacar destroyed everyone behind.
Wasn't it Vlasov?Kämna just in GC lead ahead of Roglic I think? Came in 6 seconds behind.
Vlasov and Hindley were in the first group, then there was a little gap with a second group lead by Kämna - at least thats what I thought.Wasn't it Vlasov?
Yates did a better leadout than Van der Poel yesterday change my mind
WvA is probably fine, gave the camera a thumbs up I believe. Didn't look like a very hard crash, more of a slider. Pidcock should be ok as well.Damn, hopefully WVA and Pidcock are fine. Too bad we didn't get to see WVA finish, looked like he was following easily.
The stage where he put 3.5 minutes into 11th place despite starting his efforts far earlier? That was definitely a far better-climbing Van der Poel than today's.
So, you are comparing climbing performances when he gets a free 4 minute lead (to only stay ahead by seconds) where he could ride each climb at his own pace, to when he has to follow actual climbers from the bunch? Seriously?
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that the crashed rider wasn't Landa.
Ngl, when I saw the Jumbo jersey I legitimately thought it was Kelderman for the fraction of a second before I realised it was the Red Bull helmet. Good thing it wasn't, because knowing his luck he would have broken multiple bones in the exact same crash.I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that the crashed rider wasn't Landa.
I'm not debating he was not good today. Nor that he should be able to maybe even stay in the main group on this climb (like i hinted yesterday in his topic, in case the pace was not super high). But comparing both climbing performances is asinine. Furthermore, we all know he is better at shorter but steeper climbs, than he is on longer shallower ones. The stage where he put 3.5 minutes into 11th place despite starting his efforts far earlier? Scientists spending millions to find the least dense material when you just can just study Keldermans bonesNgl, when I saw the Jumbo jersey I legitimately thought it was Kelderman for the fraction of a second before I realised it was the Red Bull helmet.
