Nope, Basso finished with Voeckler too.

It seems he may want out of it anyway - seems to be stressing him out, all too much pressure. I have a feeling it will be gone on the 2nd climb tomorrow and I think Tommy will be happy.

Thomas been a real hero this Tour!

But I've been wondering if his succes will come back to bite hime. Wth will he do next year? The peloton will surely be more wary of letting him go.

In the future, I think he should lose a lot of time on purpose so he's allowed in breaks. He'll get a great position on GC this time, and he'll probably never do so well again. Stay off the yellow jersey, hunt for stage wins.

If he improves his time trial, he could perhaps fight for the win in Paris-Nice and other week-long races.

Been a favourite of mine for years; I always look for his results in other races. People say he doesn't deserve to be climbing with those guys; welllllll HE IS!!!! An awesome display of cycling prowess and notice how he had absolutely nothing left after he crossed the line.

Another day in the maillot jaune.
Thomas Voeckler, thank you for making me dream.

If Andy pays for his efforts tomorrow, Tommy just needs to hang on to Cuddles with a minute to spare and he'll come out of the Alps in yellow.

Well, it also depends a bit on what Frank is doing. Staying with his brother or going for the stage win.

Incredibly today. I don't care what anyone says, Tommy is now one of my favorite riders.

Absolutely. Heck, I hardly knew who he was before this, but he's on my hero list now.

I wonder how he'll TT versus Andy, with the stakes as they are for both of them. Actually I don't know how his TT is in general.

Honestly I don't think he even knows how his TT will be. I do expect him to lose some time as I doubt he's ever trained on his TT bike which could well come back to haunt him.

don't like him, he did nothing to defend his yellow jersey today, even having Rolland. This yellow jersey is just a gift from the only MAN in the big group of cowards

He's strong on the flat in road races though. If he can frequently spend all day off the front I reckon he can probably turn in a good TT since it really matters.

Was expecting a lot of posts on this subject after today. My admiration for him grows every day. Another epic ride for TV today.

BS
He rode an intelligent race, if he had gone after Andy S he would have blown, he was right to force Evans to make the pace, evans should have gone after Andy earlier but he didnt he expected TV or AC to go, then finally when it was too late he had no choice. Not a good day for Evans imo though he did make a valiant effort eventually.

voeckler didn't let rolland on the front just for revenge.all these days,no one helped europcar at the front of the peloton, voeckler just said it in an interview.so it was logical to let evans do the whole work.

well they actually did as leopard rode on the front a lot and Tommy as the MJ so of course he and his team should of been riding.

Evans is being forced to defend a jersey he doesnt have.

I lost a little respect for TV yesterday, he was pulled up the moutain by Evans. But after watching the highlights last night it was clear TV was on the edge another 1-2km and he would of blown.

Europcar and TV got on the front for a bit and it was clear they were pony and just couldnt set a pace so Evans got on the front again.

He wears the yellow jersey and it does mean something. He shouldn't have gone after Andy at Col d'Izoard, and shouldn't have led the peloton on Galibier alone. But he should have helped Cadel, even if it would have been only 10% of time spent on the front of the peloton on Galibier, but he didn't even try, imo it's disrespectful. Every time he tells "I'm not a contender", "I'm not a contender" and thinks that it justifies his yesterday's wheelsucking. Of course you can call it "an intelligent race" but I call it a cheat. I'm sick of it.. Now he is the real contender for the podium, but if he wants to achieve this riding the way he did yesterday, I hope he'll finish fourth, it would be fair.
That's a real BS, my friend
