No matter the result, we'll have a deserving winner!!

And notice, Martin and Cancellara have gone AWOL in the Alps. They're gonna blow everyone out of the water tomorrow, but I think the Canc will win, AGAIN!

I can't really care about this much, with them riding in the gruppetto for the last few days. The real race is for the yellow jersey.

Chapeau to you, Jobiwan, for the respect you show all the riders, not just your faves, and their fans. That really is the way to enjoy sport.

Agreed. I've also been enjoying Jobiwan's ever-evolving signature as the race developed.

I expect that, in addition to the obvious guys, Leipheimer will have a decent day. Top five, maybe.

It's going to be a close call. Of course it all depends on how they recover after 2 epic days. Whoever wins (Andy or Cadel) will be a deserving winner. Andy like last year will start out quickly, but I think Cadel will just have the power to win this in the last 5k.

As for the stage, I guess the natural top three is 1. Cancellara, 2. Martin, 3. Millar. True, Cancellara has not been too visible this year, but he seemed in decent form on day 1. All three have gone AWOL in the last couple of days and should be relatively fresh. I would be mightily impressed if Geraint placed in the top 10, especially after not riding in the grupetto (at any time, I think).

Rainfall tomorrow. Less rainfall in the afternoon. At least according to a very trusted weather site. But on letour.fr it says that it's going to be sunny.

Andy and Cadel. Who will be Greg and who will be Laurent tomorrow?

My prediction: Andy will lose yellow by 3". It will be Cadel's lucky day tomorrow.

Andy will lose 5 seconds to Cadel on the start ramp descent alone!!!!!

GO CADEL !!!!!!!!!!!

When Andy was asked if he likes 57 seconds as the gap he was very confident and said yes.

When they were talking to Evans, well it took a while and it was a strange interview, he didnt seem to happy being interviewed and didnt answere all questions but he said that he wasnt confident because he had already lost 2 Tour in that situation.

I think losing a 3rd time would break Evans more than Andy, so i hope he wins, but i do now think, looking at Andys confidence, that he'll do it.

I think Andy will hold on to the MJ. He only lost 31 seconds to Bertie last year, and has improved his TT since then. And , much like Red Bull, the MJ gives you wings..just ask Tommy V or Sastre...

A Velonation article quotes Andy Schleck on tomorrow's time trial:

“[Leopard Trek sports director] Kim Andersen tells me the course suits me well. I didn’t do a reconnaissance, but I saw it on television when the peloton did it on the [Critérium du] Dauphiné, so I have a clue what it’s like.”
A) You are Andy Schleck, TdF champion-hopeful. You came into the Tour with every intention of winning.

B) You didn't recon the TT course. You saw it on TV. You are satisfied that you "have a clue."

Let's see, one of these things is not like the other. I mean, I know a lot of course recon is done by TV, and maybe that's OK during the regular season, but for the most important race of your life?

Maybe he'll get away with it, but if he loses the Tour by seconds tomorrow on account of some unexpected bump or bauble or off-camber corner, I have a feeling his attitude will change significantly. :)

Last thing, 70% chance of rain tomorrow. . . This could be a real factor.

Yep. As far as I could see it's light rain the whole day. Wind should be a factor as well. That one is a bit harder to predict whether it's head, tail or cross.

Well, let's see, who doesn't like racing in the rain?
