Why? If they don't catch Bodnar there is a 100% chance they won't win. It's not inconceivable that Kittel's leadout or positioning goes wrong.

Interesting to not see more of the team drop back to help Contador. And they didn't go back to help Degenkolb earlier either. So who exactly are they racing for now?

Degenkolb had more than enough time to get back. Contador's GC isn't really that important anymore and with the help of Pantano and some drafting it was no issue to come back.
