Exciting tactics from Bora. Don't know why Trentin is so concerned with intermediate sprints if he can barely crack the top 10 in bunch sprint.

Kittel crashed a few years ago and had to abandon the race.

Sagan crashed and barely made it to Paris.

Anything could still happen and it makes sense for Trentin to at least try for Green and stage wins, while he is in the race.

Anyone who wins it this year will definitely have earned it, thats for sure.
It wouldn't have been a competition had Sagan not dropped his chain and then gotten that de-classification. Reminds me of the year when Matthews was gifted the jersey when Sagan was wrongfully thrown out, Kittel crashed out and Demare missed the time-limit :joycat:

I disagree

if they had stayed out, a bunch of other riders would have jumped across as Bora would stop closing down attacks, leaving it all to DQ.
Eh. Bora's tactic is to drop Bennett on the climb and make allies with CCC and Michelton. If Sagan and Schachmann were to continue, they wouldn't have the rest of the Bora team to help out and they would have QuickStep, CCC and Michelton chasing them.
