Pogs recovery is off the charts

Rog is incredibly respectful

This tour went from depressingly predictable to legendary in a day.

May this serve as a reminder to people that when you're strong there is nothing wrong with actually hurting your opponents.

"Take time when you can." I mean, as a GC rider you should have that tattooed on your forehead or something.

If Roglic learns from this to become more aggressive, I'll become his fan too.

Pogacar is more complete, achieved this with a far inferior team compared to Bernal last year also. And younger.

much more complete.

rode against much tougher competition.

and with a much weaker team.

bernal, dumo, rog, etc... they are now looking at "how can they win the big one?" from here on out.

only remco (as yet not proven) -- should he return to full strength, may have a shot and it could be a wonderful duel for years to come...

This is just a low rent version of 2011. The moral of the story is the same, but we didn't get back to back epic stages leading into the TT.

I don't think Roglic was subpar, he probably went too deep at one point when he just had to. But Pogacar smashed the times of Dumoulin and van Aert, so it was all Pogacar to me, not Roglic's weakness.
Dunno... Somewhere around Dumoulin, Porte, and Van Aert would be according to my expectations for both Slovenians.

What an incredible turnaround.

I feel sorry for Roglic, for Jumbo, for all the work they did before and during the Tour. But Pogacar is a phenomenon and of course a deserving winner.

I feel sorry for Roglic. He was probably just following team orders, trusting that they had all the numbers worked out. But, at the same time, it's great to see a team who tried to suffocate the race fall at the final hurdle.

Superman dropped like a stone. Now that was a horrific tt.
Even if Primoz had ridden better than Dumoulin, Van Aert, Porte, he still would have lost overall by a large margin. Pogacar just rode an unbelievable tt. Almost no one thought this was even possible.

this was probably the best TT of the 4 though, he just ran into a direct opponent who was flying, and of course the stakes were the highest

Pogacar was unbelievable today, no one could have predicted that, but Roglic's third week TT record isn't so amazing you'd say 57 seconds was definitely safe.

Jumbo Visma took a risk in riding defensively, and it backfired spectacularly.

Superman must be ecstatic the GC race was so tight here otherwise this would go down in the same annals of history as Rasmussen's.
