When Demare was OTL a few years ago he took along 5 riders. Is DQS all-in in the grupetto? If they OTL, they are (theoretically) gone from the Tour as a team? Has that ever happened?
edit: ah Ala of course.
But that would be even funnier if Ala wins the stage while everyone else has to go.
I think this should be evident. Carapaz needs what. 6-7 mins on Pog at this point?Ineos is just riding as if they're gonna go straightforward attack on Ventoux for 2nd place
Gaudu is getting deja vu all over again...When Demare was OTL a few years ago he took along 5 riders.
Uh? Must be the other way round, no? The faster they go, the smaller the time limit. To expand on the possible time limit. If the average speed of the winner is 33-34kph, then the time limit is around 40 minutes. If the average speed is 40 kph the time limit is around 50 minutes. And fairly linear in between.
(If my calculations are correct.)
No, for fairly obvious reasons there is more allowance given if the leaders go ballistic than if it's a dawdle for everyone.Uh? Must be the other way round, no? The faster they go, the smaller the time limit.
I never knew! I always assumed the percentage from winning time was set at fixed number. Thanks! No, for fairly obvious reasons there is more allowance given if the leaders go ballistic than if it's a dawdle for everyone.
He’s calling the race off a monitor the size an iPad. I’m not excusing his slowing down, but it isn’t easy to tell what’s happening especially when you aren’t on the race to get reports.Sorry if this is the wrong thread, I didn't see any US commentary thread, but for the love of god, they're just unbearable. I like Phil Liggett, but seriously, I just can't take his unending errors time and time and time again. I could go on, but it's just too much. Retire. Please. You are about to turn 78. Enjoy your life.
How sweet. First Van Der Poel honouring Poulidor and now Hirschi with a Simpson gimmick.Hirschi is sniffing too much coke!
Do we know why he is short on proper equipment? He’s calling the race off a monitor the size an iPad. I’m not excusing his slowing down, but it isn’t easy to tell what’s happening especially when you aren’t on the race to get reports.
There have been many threads about Phil Liggett, but he's got a great voice.Sorry if this is the wrong thread, I didn't see any US commentary thread, but for the love of god, they're just unbearable. Even if it was a set percentage, you still wouldn't know exactly how much time you have until the winner has finished, at which point it'll usually be too late if you're far off already.I never knew! I always assumed the percentage from winning time was set at fixed number. Thanks!
I understand that and empathize with him, but he keeps getting corrected by a guy who is also watching the race on an ipad. He’s calling the race off a monitor the size an iPad. He is enjoying life; once a year, he spends a month in France and talks about bike racing.Sorry if this is the wrong thread, I didn't see any US commentary thread, but for the love of god, they're just unbearable.
