The GC teams have a pretty comfortable ride so far it seems, even though the pace is probably high.

Have a hard time seeing the breakaway winning now, there just isn't time left to gain a decent gap so it would take a really good climber to pull it off.

Kruijswijk confirms he's almost certainly missing the Vuelta, where he was supposed to be 2nd leader with Roglic. Isn't sure when he can return to racing because his fractures are complex and basically admits any racing will just be prep for next season.

Isn't a collarbone fracture pretty much an automatic 6 weeks out of action to heal fully?

Surprised some of the armchair warriors who have gave Roglic stick haven’t demanded Kruijswijk finish with them minor scratches

No rain, no clouds, just heat. This is horrible. Even the fog that was on the climb this morning has disappeared. Why are they not racing in the evening, this is just torturing the riders.

Positively surprised at there not being a breakaway with 15 minutes yet.
It helps when nobody has the legs to put in a move that actually opens up a gap instead of the whole peloton staying in the wheel, and then the one decent move being shut down by Alpecin for Philipsen's third place in the points classification.

That must have been a ridiculous impact
