Jumbo Visma's stage tactic was obviously Van Aert today and for Jonas, it was to put as much pressure as possible, on Pogacar and not give away signs of an easy time gain, in the early parts of the stage that could motivate Pogacar, and Jonas certainly managed that.

He teetered on complete disaster twice in the last few days: the last descent on stage 18 with that pedal strike and today in that corner. Could have been TDF over both times.
But maybe that is just the nature of riding a grand tour to win. Luck (the avoidance of bad luck) will be a factor because of the risks a winner must take.

Are you letting a confirmation bias set your norm..
c'mon Jonas also won over Pogacar in TdF2021 on the ending 31KM TT, and at times in 2021 also showed to be superior on certain hard mountain stages where he dropped Pogacar..like 2021 Mount Ventoux stage...

and today's stage were more climb orientated, and it is 3 week after an extreme hard TdF22 on a very hot climate... so really not a surprise that its the strong TdF riders that stands out.

Jonas are a very strong time trial rider.

I would like to apologise to Geraint Thomas after my slander before the Tour. I was wrong, he was excellent. Massive respect. That being said, f*ck Ineos.

I enjoyed the stage and the tour overall. I dislike all the c* references though. It's easy to throw out accusations but it should be a reasonable expectation for results to improve over 20+ years based on training, equipment and technology.
