In the end Jonas only lost a few seconds, could have been much worse.
Brutal for Roglic, I hope he'll be ok after that crash.
I hope Haig is somewhat ok after that crash, that one looked bad.

In the end it looks like the attack was not worth it, yes. JV AND Ineos owe a bit thank you to WvA.

From what we saw I would say Laporte did more work in front of the chase than WVA did. He’s the real MVP for Vingegaard today.

Dude, please man. Youre so lame stating boneheaded things like that. Vingo has 3-4 riders with him immediately, and Wout dropped after a few kilometres as well, leaving only Laporte for Roglic!

So the biggest impact of the stage was probably Pog spending a of energy to potentially ride Rog out of it, with a lot of help from a stray hay bale. Such a shame Wout wasn't in the front group to do a Cancellara for Roglic.

Crazy stage, so much can be said and thought about. I really wonder if Pogacar was too confident and will pay for this or if he will recovery smoothly. My personal tragedy is that of O'Connor, but well. It sure was entertaining.

What a ride by Teddy Merckx! Always at the front to avoid crashes and without a team. He and Stuyven were even gaining on JV on the cobbles and it looked to be a massive day but last 5-10 km were too much it seems. Vinge and other GC guys dodged a bullet today with the help of their teams. Primoz didn't. i already have similar feelings to last year's first week but luckily for others Pog spent more energy today.
