So how much time does Kämna need to win the stage?
2 minutes at the bottom of PDBF? More?
I think the strongest steep hill climbers are Gescke and Teuns. I think they are both in good shape. The Bora guys look great, too. But normally Kämna and Schachmann are stronger @ 5-7 %.

If they can keep the gap over 2.30-3 minutes at the foot of the climb and continue to ride together until the upper slopes they will have a chance. Otherwise there is too much firepower behind and Pogacar really wants to win this today.

Robert Plant must be cleaning up each time the broadcasters play a snippet of Ship of Fools. I think it's a very good song, hope I don't get completely sick of it by the time the Tour is over.

Nuclear Pogacar "only" put 1:30 into peak Kämna on PDBF in 2020. However, I actually don't think Kämna is in his best form at the moment because he went quite deep the whole Giro and it's very hard to keep that form. And obviously that was an ITT back than while he had to do a lot of work in this breakaway today.

It wouldn't surprise me if Teuns turns out to be the best of the breakaway. I think he has saved a lot of energy so far and hasn't taken many turns.

If nobody helps UAE then I think the break wins today.

The dash to the bottom always takes time back though

Roglic must be fetching water for everyone

He is also guiding Benoot back to the front of the peloton. I quess some people were right, he is washed out. Only his salary is probably too high for the job he is doing (water boy). :tearsofjoy:

Seems like the first time this week to see a Bahrain jersey at the front of the action (and I like their jersey:) )

I didn't know Movistar was in the race, but look...there's one in the break. Are there more in the peleton?
