Too much focus from the commentators here about the motorbikes allegedly blocking an attack from Pogacar. On a climb like this, the motorbikes and the crowd are part of the race and the whole situation - it's something the riders need to take into account, it's not just a backdrop.

Lol. "Allegedly". Have you been following it on radio or text only?

Exactly. Teddy attacked way too early in the first place, then got caught napping.
It's his own *** up and I dont wanna hear any crying about motos.
ONly people on this thread will, i doubt teddy is gonna complain about it.

And then not letting Adam cruise in for 2nd was another dumb move
Pogi attacked like he always did for bonus seconds and it had worked out so far.
Pointless talking with people that think that ends justifies the means.

That depends if you think that Rodriguez wouldn't have still won the stage.
Rodriquez would have had to have a crazy decent with Pog and Vinge riding slow. The front two lost a lot of time after Pog had to stop his sprint, time they would have stayed away with.

allegedly ? were you watching the race ?
Stage made for Vingo. Denied. Won what 1 second? WVA small attack then gone. Yates after everyone criticizing him was last Dom standing. Vingo was waiting for alps. Nice survive by Pog. Will see what happens tomorrow. Which team is playing 3d chess ? Lol. I like how Pog isn't hiding behind glasses.

Jonas was right on his wheel. There is nothing to suggest that Tadej's move would 've amounted to a convenient leadout so we should just let this go. The fact that rabid fans didn't knock one of them down is of more concern.

Vingegaard played his strategy much better today than yesterday. He wasn't caught out of position when Pogacar attacked and rode sensibly after Kuss kept the lid on UAE and finished well himself. Yesterday both JV guys were badly positioned to respond to Tadej's attack and today I was yelling at Jonas to get off the front position as they approached the time bonus summit. He did and won that critical challenge. The bonus was Carlos Rodriguez becoming the finish spoiler and forcing Tadej to chase hard to claim bonus time.
This is still a 3 week race. IMO Pogacar showed his limits and went deep; tomorrow could lead to more serious separation and the advantage is tipping Jonas' way. Fun and well fought by everyone.
Special kudos to Kuss for moving up to 6th by grinding the field to bits. Class act!
And Vinge hasn’t been wasting energy and riding hard at the front of every sprint stage?

How is it "made for Vingegaard"?

The race for the podium is nicely poised. I don’t think Adam Yates will be in the mix if he’s to sacrifice himself for Pog

Hmm, Jumbo paced all day just to be outnumbered by UAE in the end.

Pogacar was good but did not appear imperious today. I thought he had Vingo, but the stamina to keep going just was not there. So Perhaps Jumbo will still conclude this is the way, and perhaps they are right.

Vingo appears solid, so the question is whether Pogi is on a form upswing or whether the relative lack of base comes to bite him in the back in the third week.
Obviously they would have liked a different result, just like in a few stages before where they put the hammer down. But you can see that their theory, in principle, is right. They do take away some of Pogi's explosivity. You can also see that UAE have learned from last year's Tour as well and make Pogi work on threshold power. So we could end up with the conclusion that they're really, really close and the Tour will be decided on bonus seconds.

Pog attacked when he did because the day before he dropped Vinge with a sprint from that same distance.
