if Gall takes full points (and Ciccone not much), he'd be back in the fight as well. And it wouldn't be too much of a surprise if he turns out to be the best climber from the break.
The only way that could play out is if there is no GC battle. Break is doomed if there is a race.

I cannot see the break making it.
It looks super steep.
It's only about 8-9%, but the hairpin density is very high all the way through.

Riders are just gonna fall off until there is Kuss, Vinge and Pog in the final of the climb. Vinge attacks before the top, dropping Pog. Solo-win.

What are they saying?

(Cycling would probably never come back to German TV if a new big doping scandal came up.)
They showed a short segment about Rasmussen and how he was ejected from the TdF while in yellow, and went from there to say that considering these stories and many more that people can't possibly be surprised when results like yesterday elicit suspicion and scepticism.

Btw, what's the story behind Vingegaard using his mother's last name and not Rasmussen, which is his father's? Is this typical for the Danes?

I'm so rooting for Vingegaard to get the KOM jersey.

I'm sick of the tv coverage attempting to make Ciccone's attempts to score points 'suspenseful', like yesterday in the ITT when we followed his climb because they desperately wanted us to think his goal to set the fastest ascent was interesting.

So as a matter of principle, I hope Vinge gets it so we no longer endure this sort of faux suspense no one should care about & over a jersey no one should care about either.
wow someone got up on the wrong side of the bed today lol
I think its great to have these side competitions where random riders have the chance to win
If i was there i would sprint for some random cat 4 just to have a ribbon to hang on my fireplace!!!

Thanks. I actually agree - it would be too naive to not think of Rasmussen's dominance at least once these days. I also read a headline (before yesterday) saying "Journalist asking Vingegaard about doping" - it's crazy that a simple thing like someone posing a QUESTION is regarded as a minor sensation in itself.

You need to speak to the organisers about the polka dot jersey as they must consider it to be important. I'll also add its the most conspicious jersey worn by spectators.

Both his parents are called 'Vingegaard Rasmussen'. Dunno where either name originally came from.

Genuinly do not get why Skjelmose has once again been burrying himself all day for Ciccone. Could've gotten the same amount of points without all that work.
