If Pog loses this tour he has to stop doing the year long peak. You can’t keep turning up here and getting cooked, needs to peak for this race alone
Yeah but that's not his style. Perhaps the biggest difference between him and JV is focus and patience. JV does everything to win the biggest race in the world. Pog wants to have fun and win other races. Can you blame him? He's already won TDF twice.

And then what?

Or you mean with sending Yates, Almeida, Ayuso in the breaks? That could potentially indeed work. But rather in a Kuss way.
Remco needs to chase too. But I can't imagine Pog sanctioning a GC Kuss stunt unless he's dropped

Maybe this stage will be a change in Pogi’s approach. Not good for the couch potatoes but better for him. Just follow Vingo now. Result more important than spectacle.
I think it was always going to be Pogacar on the offensive until now and then Vinge on the offensive from stage 14 and onwards. Given the context of the route and Vinge's injury, that's what makes most sense for everyone.

So many people today crying about Evenepoel. You WISH you had balls as big as his.

If Remco has a million fans, then I am one of them. If Remco has ten fans, then I am one of them. If Remco has only one fan then that is me. If Remco has no fans, then that means I am no longer on earth. If the world is against Remco, then I am against the world.

I think at this point we can conclude the injury has had little bearing on Vingegaard's condition in the race.
He doesn't get dropped like that on the Galibier stage if he is in the exact same form as last year. He looked completely dead at the top of Galibier, big difference from Puy de Dome last year.

Superb stage.

I don't know if UAE did any mistake actually. Everybody knows that both teams have they nutritions planned just so perfectly as they can be. If Pogi had some problems with nutrition, it can be just that when tiredness accumulates enough, your body may stop taking energy, even if the nutrition was perfect. And it happens differently from person to person, it's highly individual. It's calculated risk, when you decide to take two GT's back to back.

Still it's possible that Pogi cleans it, he's so strong, this looks just like that one bad day. If it's the only one in this edition, he still can take it.

The time gain on top of Galibier was the same as on the top of Puy de Dome.

Has it ever happened the favorite/leader gaining 30” after the first attack, looking the strongest and then caught back by his rival? Haven’t seen it before I think. Maybe because they started the attack 2 climbs faster than they would before.

Youre right, but this is also because we are spoiled right now... think about the rotten years of Armstrong, Wiggins, Froome guys who absolutely refused to race unless it was an ITT or a big , steep MTF (hi Sepp). Matter of fact 2016 had the same final 30ks and absolutely nothing happened (15 guys S.T behind sky beeing said nothing here)... but again I agree, but still you need the attitude of the riders and teams to coorperate, if not to say: we need Pogi 😍
Froome took time in grand tours in TTs, MTF, 80km insane attacks, attacking downhill and in crosswinds. Don't talk nonsense.

I think there's a few other guys on here who deserves the no. 1 spot more than you, but I acknowledge your enthusiasm for the guy.

I think Roglic has been watching clips of the 2012 Olympics team sprint, where Hindes threw himself to the ground on purpose.

Jonas wins lots of races.
