It was a 'whoever wants to go is allowed' break and they have 1 rider in there after attacking all day, Carapaz good but not the an ideal situation considering he's wasted so much energy already.
If someone in the break has had the balls to not try any moves before the intermediate sprint, they'll be in a good spot. A lot of riders have wasted tons of energy. I've seen Onley and Barguil in almost every attempt at a move for the last 100km.
