I think the dns/dnf rate is still below avg. Maybe there is a stat on pcs.
Yeah interesting. Maybe it's bigger names than usually? For sure with Almeida and Evenepoel two prime podium contenders DNFd plus a bunch of top ten contenders. And I guess Jorgenson feels like a DNF considering what the expectations were. And the Giro was even more extreme concerning gc contenders abandoning.

But yeah I guess recency bias also plays a role here.

I would argue the Madeleine is the hardest climb in this years TDF. It's such a shame that it rarely comes near the end of a stage, although it's very well placed today.

Like on other stages, the moment of the intermediate sprint will be a very important point in the formation of the breakaway.. Guys, who are following the sprinters will just continue...

Migels on German Eurosport saying that the guy who biked across the finish line yesterday apparently also once got onto the pitch at a Euro quali game and supposedly took a photo with a guy called „Ronaldo Messi“ if Migels remembers the name correctly. Somehow I doubt he remembers the name correctly.

The taste was that of the little crumb of madeleine which on Sunday mornings at Combray (because on those mornings I did not go out before church-time), when I went to say good day to her in her bedroom, my aunt Léonie used to give me, dipping it first in her own cup of real or of lime-flower tea. The sight of the little madeleine had recalled nothing to my mind before I tasted it;

That is something that definitely should not happen more often in cycling. Unlike in football, where a ‘streaker’ only causes a minor interruption, it is extremely dangerous in cycling and should not become the norm under any circumstances.
