Dominique Cornu (Skill-Shimano) likely to join pegasus...

source: sporza

hopefully this former TT-WC with the espoirs will be able to show something there because I'm starting to fear it's a lost cause...

-- Claudia Hausler (ex-Cervélo) to ride for Diadora-Pasta Zara-Mahattan in 2011. (tuttobiciweb)

-- Pawel Charucki (ex-Legia) and Polish champ U23 to ride for CCC-Polsat in 2011.

-- Ronan Racault (22) to ride for BigMat - Auber 93 (Cyclismactu)

-- Basque rider Iker Camaño 31y (ex-Phonak '02) to Endura Racing in 2011.

-- Zdenek Štybar to ride for Sky, Quick Step or Landbouwkrediet but then Nys has to go. [http://ciclonews.it]

Häusler to Diadora-Pasta Zara is awesome news - Häusler and Abbott on the same team means a lot of pressure on Emma Pooley next year - she was often able to take advantage of people not wanting to drag Häusler around (though not as obviously as van Vleuten getting win after win out of people not wanting to chase and pull Vos to the finish, obviously!).

Camaño to Endura is not especially surprising - he signed a short-term contract with them in July to finish the season, so that he's staying on is hardly a shock.

it seems that finally rasmussen will sign with saxo bank.2007 withdraw was the greatest injustice i ever saw in professional sports.so i hope bjarne can bring him at that form and maybe he coud fight for vuelta.

That has been on the roumor mill for so long that I won't believe anything until Riis confirms it. I think it would be fun having Rasmussen in some large races in 2011, but lets not get our hopes up.

What the heck Riis announced like 3 weeks ago that he was done with signings and now he's back in the market. Does that mean he has little faith that Contador will return or does that mean it's looking good and he is trying to stock up with good support?

Well, it could be that he said that he was done with signings because he doesn't have budget for anyone else but as far as I know he wouldn't have to pay for Rasmussen since Rasmussen has his own sponsors that pay his salary. So it might not be a change in Bjarnes position but rather an opportunity to get a rider for free.

Interestingly enough, there is not one word about Michael Rasmussen and Saxo Bank on any of the Danish sites. And they cover both the rider and the team very closely.

Susan

I guess they are all waiting for the big news from whatever LPS will show tonight or there is nothing new to the matter. We know that tv2.dk has talked to Bjarne Riis very recently to get his comments on Cancellara for the big reveal of Cancellaras and the Schlecks lies tonight. Of course they would make sure to get updated on Rasmussen too?

There are some articles quoting the Itialian paper, like the headlines says "According to Italian papers blahblah", which usually means they news outlet doesnt believe it themselves :p Nothing solid or any rumours from the usual places though, so I think we need the salt shaker close at hand.

Cornu signed? Interesting, that's another spot taken.

What are these rumours of Sulzberge and Meyer coming based on? Both woulld be good addition, Meyer is a future star of Aussie cycling.

Jens_ loves every convicted doper in the peloton. It's actually kind of funny.

I don't see how you can call Rasmussen's expulsion from the tour and subsequent ban an 'injustice'. There are rules about the whereabouts system, just like there are rules about what substances you can have in your bloodstream and rules about what jersey you wear at the start line. You break the rules, you face the consequences, end of story.

I can't see why Riis would sign him. The chicken is old and washed up, and with all the Contador drama going on the last thing Bjarne needs is a fresh wave of newspaper stories about signing a convicted cheat. That said, nothing Bjarne has done this year has made much sense, so who knows.

Yeah good signing. redant said he hasn't signed but Cornu has said on twitter that he will be at pegasus next year. Two more spots as White has said before Cornu's announcement that there would be 3 more riders.

Hopefully the last 2 are some of the uncontracted Aussies, just having McEwen plaus the FlyV+Dennis boys doesn't really make you want to put on the green and gold zinc...

Michael Rasmussen got 2 UCI warnings, and by that he wasn't breaking any rules at that time.
