Oh my. Katusha. That will just be a year where he checks in a massive salary and shows nothing on the bike.

Maybe but he gets them WT points which is more important than result for 2012 at this stage

The only good news in this would be Samuel Sanchez riding in the same team as his friend. I wonder where someone like Igor Anton would end up at if this was really true.

I'd take him on board any day.

Dan Lloyd may not be at Garmin next year, once again this stupid points system will probably cost him a WT ride as his only crime is doing what his bosses have asked him to do, work for the stronger riders in the team to help them get the win. But no WT points, and no contract.

Fail.

So Tuttobici says Betancourt signs with Liquigas. No declarations from the team or rider are provided though.LINK

I hope not yet. betancourt is massive talent but has more chances at acqua next year. will be good for his progress allround though and especially in classics that he will now ride

lol, lloyd is a mediocre rider at best not showing anything in recent 2 years. there are many others that deserve his spot

I very much doubt if Garmin or any of the teams up the top end of the points table are at all worried about WT points when it comes to signing domestiques. Ag2r or Euskaltel might have a different attitude, but the likes of Sky, Garmin or Liquigas etc aren't going to care one way or the other if some random domestique has ten points or two.
