Kristoff will be there to win small races and help Denis. SBS had a successful classics campaign with Nuyens. Also when Baden Cooke got in the break at P-R and was designated as their leader if let sure he would win if the break stayed clear up until near the end. Also Contador competed in F-W and got his teammates on the front. Overall Saxo have had a successful season. Most teams would kill for Contador and a definite winner of a classic. So they shall be stronger next year.

ALSO Sky are a good team with a solid cast of riders. I would think EBH could still work with Wiggins and Cav and any team would be crazy to not want him, so Sky still would. Didn't Gerain Thomas this year win that German race where Sky won 4 stages or so with different people??? It is possible to have wins from various riders. Hell OPL would have had 3 leaders at the biggest race of the year. I'm sure sure there will be no conflict of interests in smaller races between EBH ( if he stays ) , Wiggins and Cav

Gilbert signs with BMC...what a team
It's vaguely reminiscent of Lotto, two years ago.

Evans talks about being a domestique for Gilbert in the classics... which seems logical, but I think he could be one of the few riders who could actually pose some sort of threat to Phil. Too bad.

Remind me how they did again?;)

No surprise to anybody who saw ENECO.

BMC have discovered the lost treasure of the Aztec's, or something?
Maybe ACF has won the lottery.............

YES! Gilbert joins BMC! What a team they will have next year, they will totally dominate the classics!!!
Its a shame to see kristoff go to katusha at this point as he was developing into a good sprinter, BMC should have offered him a contract I think he wanted to stay.
I wonder whether BMC bought gilbert out of contract.
Boy, the wins will come fast and easy for BMC now.

Evans is a team player he will be fine working for Gilbert in the classics. The TDF is still his main goal. Remember Lombardia 2009, he just won the worlds a week before and he worked for gilbert who wasnt such a star as he is now.

Meh, Saxo doesn't have such a big national focus as Katusha or Sky.

In that you're right. Riis is actually getting quite a beating on the Danish cyclign forums for not being more open toward Danish talents.

With that being said, I'm sadly enough not so sure Saxobank will have a massively improved team next year. The last couple of years Riis haven't exactly lit up the transfer market (except for the Contador deal), and a lot of the interesting "free" riders (Degenkolb, Martin, Pozzato, Hushovd etc.) have already signed or is strongly rumoured elsewhere.

Riis seems to have lost his edge, his reputation as a gifted talent enhancer has gone to other managers, and we (Danish cycling fans) have to settle for riders like Tanner, Margaliot, Noval et.all. Thank God I have a huge team-crush on Liquigas with Nibali, Sagan, Oss and Basso (I just Battaglin to go there instead of Colnago, then it would be perfect:cool:)

And to finish off: Sky has a way better team this season than Saxo, no doubt about it. And most likely they will again next year.

Damn :( Don't like this news, with Evans being one of the only ones who could beat Gilbert in the Classics.

big difference lotto = ****wits, BMC = awesome
Ah, right. Thanks for clearing that up.

BMC is fast becoming a very weird team: some of the very best riders in the WorldTour, paired up with some of the very worst.

The only race I can see Evans beating Gilbert is la fleche walloone, anyway evans never really has been that interested in the classics.

Good news for BMC. However i wanted to see a showdown between Gilbert Vs Evans at F-W. TJVG, Hushovd and Gilbert will all have to have places in the TDF squad next year. Now Evans just needs a sickass climber ( Syzmd, CAS )

With the money, Rihs' pockets are endless.

I do feel a little sorry for cadel as I think he is a big challenger in the ardennes but he seems quite content working for Gilbert.

Evans said he is excited by the prospect of having a former teammate help him make a run at a second straight Tour de France title. "I'm happy to be back with one of my old teammates," Evans said. "We've always remained friends, but now we get to be teammates again and that's fantastic," Evans said. "I suspect I'll be a domestique in the Ardennes week, but I look forward to it and it will be a pleasure." Joining Gilbert on the BMC Racing Team next year will be reigning world road champion Thor Hushovd, whose signing was announced last week

Well they said that of Garmin as well this year with Haussler, Farrar, Hushovd etc and they won only one Classic with Van Summeren...

I never liked BMC they just throw the money around, just because they have Rhis who has nothing else to do than playing with a cyclingteam...

You only say that because Evans left Lotto unhappy
No, I know more than quite a few on here know about what they do, how they work and some of the stupid things that they have done.

Never really interested? I would review that comment.

And Greipel, and VDB and so on, Gilbert's manager said that if it was possible he would have stayed at Lotto-Omega Pharam bacause everyone was riding for him. That won't always be the case at BMC...
