The Tour invitation for a non-French pro-continental team might be a problem even with Samu. Geox 2011 had Menchov + Sastre but Prudhomme chose Saur...

I don´t Sammy is loved by most, KOM and a stage win plus ASO owns 50% of the Vuelta so need to keep them happy, also if no EE then the orange army would not make the trip to the mountains stages near Spain and the tour would miss than.

I hope so, but anyway it would be a risk. But also if France will have more than one team in the PRT next year it'll be easier to get this wild card and if Euskaltel are sure they'll enter the Tour being a pro-conti there's no need of a PRT status for tham...
edit: the point is if you're a pro-conti you can't be 100% sure

My guess is that for next year we already know the 22 invited teams.

Except if Geox makes it to the World Tour and I don't see that happening, it will be same as last year plus Skil and Green Edge as new teams.

So it really doesn't matter if Euskaltel is World Tour or not because if they aren't they would be replaced by a french team

My guess for next year licences within the actual 15-20th: FDJ, Katusha and Euskaltel or Europcar if they manage to make some valuable transfers

But I guess that Euskaltel would deliberately decide to step down to ProConti

Guess Impey would like to join MTB-Qhubeka, the new South African ProConti squad for 2012?

That sounds a lot better than GE. Could John-Lee Augustyn be joining that team?

I figured that Impey to GE because he was signed by Pegasus, until you know what happened and GE have gone and signed riders who were meant to be part of the Pegasus project (Tuft, McEwen, Roberts to start off with). Can't see Impey getting too many offers from many WT teams, unless Riis is after some riders on the cheap (like signing Tanner, Roberts).

Feel free to tell me I'm typing **** at any time :D

He (Brajkovic) is a strong rider who will held an important place in the Pro Team Astana. With Roman Kreuziger they will form a key pair for the Grand Tours and will be leaders of the team.
A 7th year pro whose best result in a GT is 17th. Why is this guy still considered a GT leader? Even Bruyneel doesn't believe in him anymore, apparently.

i guess it's because sometimes it's too hard to believe that the rider who was capable of competing with Contador on Alpe d’Huez simply can't cope with a three weeks of racing.

I think given a clear GC team leader role, Jani might find himself on good ground with Astana. Radioshack's multi leader approach in the TdF this year was nothing but a complete disaster. I wish him well.
