Cera is so 2000's.

Anyway someone said (here? dont remember where..) that Di Luca was waiting for Giro invitation before signing for anyone, considering he would have a sponsor backing him it sounds realistic, but I dont think Bardiani or Vini Fantini (Scinto seems against it strongly) would hire him.

that one was me.and di luca could have already signed if he didn't ask for such a big contract. let's face it, he can't afford to ask lots of money.anyway he's abruzzo's property, i can't see him signing for other team.

but i'm pretty sure colombia coldeportes would open the door for grande killer anyway. corti would like again to have him, he will bring experience to the colombians

Di Luca can still climb. He did a faster ascent of Prati di Tivo than Nibali, after all. He didn't revert back to a different type of rider, IMO, but just got worse in general.

CERA wasn't around in 2005 ;)

yes it was. only first one got traced since 2008, guys like di luca were on it from 2005, exactly same year where all of a sudden he became a climber

he has had a horrible year last year. he's ok in hills but sucks in climbs and has become very unregular like how he was when he was younger.

ask sella

Yes it´s real annoying to watch all these donkies wining on the race tracks.
Sella is build as a climber, maybe his problem is more likely a motivational problem.

You've still got to have a big engine to be at the top, something which guys like Ricco, Sella, and Di Luca lack somewhat. They never were very talented like Contador, but what they did to win was pure Clinic material. It's not like all small riders can climb well

Oh yes as if Contador is any cleaner than Ricco was! Even Bruyneel didn't know on what stuff Albert was to be able to win the Giro.

I maybe agree for Sella, but still most time of his career he was spending at the small Panaria team which didn't have an as good program than the big teams. Except 2008 .....

But this doesn't belong to this part of the forum, right?

Di Luca seems to be past his best anyway.

there's is something about him on the mainpage, it's from an interview with wn.de. He is still hoping to find a good team and to have a proper race schedule
