Yeah, Schumacher, Zaballa, you name it. They would not fail in a Coldeportes way but in a Vini Fantini way.

Their new rider from when? With his results only now coming back to the right kind of level after his brutal leg injury in Murcía 2011, I'd be surprised to see Movistar let him walk mid-season unless finances are tight.

However, he does fit the clues better than anybody else, that's for sure. Nearest I can figure would be Eladio Jiménez, who's been not riding despite being back for 2 years, arguably has more than 2 wins in the Volta (his win on Monte Assunção would have been his 3rd but was taken away and given to Plaza, which is where Plaza's second Volta stage comes from) and his top Vuelta performance - though he won a stage on Lagos de Covadonga - are nothing like Rubinho's.

They have a roster made up of two riders that once had decent results - with well-known help (Schumacher, Zaballa), an old sprinter (Furlan), a Dane who couldn't make it in the ProTour - twice (M. Pedersen), a Norwegian who wasn't good enough for Skil-Shimano (Wilmann), a Danish trackie (Hester), two Aussie trackies (Kerby & Lovelock-Fay), another Dane that is decent for a Continental team (Høberg), a Danish ITT guy (J. Sørensen), a Swedish, a Danish and an Italian talent (Balck, Bigum & Aldegheri).

I have serious doubts - no, I am sure - that they couldn't hold a candle to Colombia in a GT.

See the difference here is that Christiana Watches are not a normal cycling team. Its a team run by the sponsor and therefore they use every single chance they get, to promote them self for the press.

Cycling is absolutely not the sport with the most articles in the papers in Denmark and you have to use al the tricks to get in the paper.

Everytime Christina Watches are in the paper it has a commercial value for the teamowners and the take advantage of every possibly situation.

You can like it or not, but from a marketing point of view the do really well.

If you are very lucky there is a couple if thousand spectators to a danish race exept the Tour of Denmark, so to gain value from your sponsorship you have to get in the papers and on television.

They would be a one man show (Schumacher). But that's still more than a none man show (Coldeportes @ this Giro).

Everytime they appear in the media, they seem to make a fool of themselves - at least when the team owner Claus Hembo opens his mouth. A disgrace to Danish cycling they are, but they have to promote their watches somehow, apparently.

Kristoff did ok, Roe had injury problems, Yannick is just working for team leaders/ i thought he did better this year.
Only one i cannot explain is Blythe, maybe he can't handle the distances or something else...

All named except Kristoff weren't top talents anyways. Did anyone really expect Roe or Eijssen to become good climbers/stage races? Blythe is a former trackie, has barely progressed in 4 years as a pro, and is now dead last in the Giro GC. Kristoff really made a big step at Katusha, while he was more or less stagnating in his 2nd year at BMC.

Phinney has also lacked progression this year, and Van Garderen could thank all of his progress to his 2 years at HTC, where he was given the chance to ride a Vuelta and a Tour.

BMC haven't developed anyone, and all stars(except Evans) they signed got worse as well. Zabel should know better than to choose this team.

Kristoff:

2010: BMC, zero wins, 406p
2011: BMC, one win (Norwegian Road Race), 456p
2012: Katusha, two wins, 934p
2013: Katusha, four wins, already 667p

Although it could be argued it's about natural progression, one can't help but claim BMC didn't get enough out of Kristoffs potential.

Kristoff said himself that he got no sort of training advice from BMC and he was just thrown into races without warning and had no say in which races he would ride. He tried to convince them he'd be good in classics like RVV but they didn't believe him...

The Minister of the Sport of Colombia is guest of Colombia-Coldeportes today at Giro and they just asked him if there's any plan of having a WT team from Colombia and he said that the plan is that one but didn't mention any further detail.

It may not be verified that it is Garmin-Sharp, but fact is he has signed with a WT-team today. http://www.sporten.dk/cykling/guld-lasse-har-skrevet-med-et-world-tour-hold

And when TV2.dk are writing they have learned he has signed Garmin-Sharp, they probably have a very good source.

I would be surprised if it wasn't true

And just for the rest of us. Why not?

I think Garmin Sharp is a nice place for Lasse. They don't have the worlds strongest spring classics team and those race fit Lasse very well.
