Aru to Trek/Segafredo could happen. Like posters have said. Money can make it so. Also with Astanas budget preumebly shrinking it could be so. However if Nibs & Boom are out. That is a Big $ savings. So if they let Aru go they are very light on firepower. I doubt Vino would let that happen.

I heard a rumour that Boom might go to sky

Seems unlikely given his problems with the MPCC.
Why? Sky isn't even part of the MPCC.

Because they like people with a squeaky clean reputation.

Servais Knaven says different

Beppe Conti usually knows a few things about Astana, but the guy talks waaay too much bs...
True that.
About Astana, he said there's a good chance Rosa will sign with Sky. I'm pretty sure there was mutual interest a couple of years ago when Rosa's contract with Androni was ending.

Rosa to Sky would dissapoint me mucho. Astana running out of money?

Apparently L'Equipe are reporting (can't check myself as it's behind a paywall) that Rosa has either been contacted by Sky OR will join Sky next season. 700K Euros contract.

Don't know what to make of that?? PCS showing Rosa contracted to Astana for 2017 season.

According to a few sources on social media Rosa to Sky is pretty much done. I'd prefer to wait and see before believing all these strong rumours.

Yeah, Aru and Rosa and good friends and I never got the impression that Rosa is really focussed on being a gt leader, he wants to have a protected role in one day races and in a few one week races and if Nibali is really leaving he'll get more opportunities to ride for himself at Astana.

why are you breaking my heart Rosa :(
exactly, let's hope it's just nonsense

It's probably not nonsense but there is no actual proof that it's a done deal. So many rumors every year, not everything that is rumored actually happens. For example the Izagirre bros were 100% signing for Sky about a year ago, see how that worked out.

I would actually be a little shocked if Rosa made the move. If he wants leader status at a GT surely best to stay where he is, especially with Nibali moving on and he would surely get more leader opportunities in one week/day races also.

Btw, does anyone know if he's actually contracted to Astana for 2017 as PCS states?

Rosa will be an amazing signing for Sky.Kangert seems to be in his last year at Astana and it would make a good addition too.If Nibali/Aru/Rosa are leaving I'm wondering if Astana will carry on at this level :(

He's been promised leadership in the Giro next year.

Yes, a rider that barely cracked Top 20 in GT is promised to lead GT for Sky. Legit.

I'm bit surprised at this rumour, with Poels, Kwiat and Rosa, surely Sergio is going leave now?

Your point about Ion and Gorka is a good one but Rosa only went to Astana because sky Chose Seb Henao instead and I think that Dave B wants him a lot, I saw a report from 2012 about him in which Dave B saw Contador-esq qualities in him so I think If Dave B sees him that way, he'll get him, I also saw a report that Astana have only ever been an advertisement for the expo in Astana 2017 so apparently the state oil company is slowing its investment which is possibly why we could see Aru, Nibali, Guardini and Rosa all leave this year with the team folding next year, I think it's only really a matter of time until Astana and Katusha go away, maybe now is the time for Astana

That's what I was thinking too and how are they going to keep Landa happy in that scenario.

The Kazakh economy has taken a pounding from the oil price and Astana is probably looking at a serious budget cut as a result.

I don't think Henao will leave. He was really good this year,no way that Sky will let him go.If he's cleared he'll be in the TDF team.

Apparently he feels as if sky is the best place for him, it looks as if a 2 year deal is on the cards

Rosa wont go to Sky. And Astana wont fold!

And Rosa probably will go to Sky, more money and more interest in development I think, he's been interested in sky since he turned Pro, he will probably be in a sky Jersey on January 1st

I think he meant that he's been promised Giro leadership at Astana. Henao is looking like staying apparently.
