Oh man, I Love it! Hold everything!!!! Woke up this morning to find that Bruyneel ain't going nowhere YET!
HA! that really makes me laugh! Astana's rigor mortis is still clenching his throat, and they chose to step back and think about the matter, before going any further. Meanwhile Radio Shack's structure hangs in the balance, as a Pro Tour team.
And, to add insult to injury, the transfers of Kloden, Rast, Zubeldia and Popovych are still not resolved. LA must be going through some interesting moments, right about now. Now it's not just Contador's problem, others still seem to be tethered to the sinking ship too! Bruyneel has even uttered words about sitting out 2010, rather than remain with Astana. The Astana Organization has blossomed into a tremendous boil on cycling's rear end. I don't know why/how they can justify allowing this team to continue in the Pro Tour level. So, the party is not over yet. Stay tuned, for more exciting developments.

I think we talked about this back when Radio Shack confirmed JB as its manager. The article said he hadn't negotiated his release, but they made it sound like it was a mere afterthought. If Astana is serious about competing next year, Kloden, Popo, Zubeldia and Rast would be decent additions/retentions. And it would probably put AC's mind at ease. I doubt that JB would simply sit out the season, but even if he did, that would mean Radio Shack has no manager and likely no Pro Tour License.

Kazakh Federation don't want to hold JB, but they can't understand why he don't send resignation letter. Otherwise they affraid to fire him without any reasons, who knows what he's intending to undertake in this case.
About riders - the same. They're under contract for 2010, there're no any difference between them and Alberto Contador. Why everyone's agree that he must to stay if Astana keeps pro-tour license but Kloeden or Zubeldia are free to go? If LA wants to see them in the Shack let's talk with Astana about transfers. It's clear when we talk about Wiggins and the Sky, so - it's clear too for the Shack and Kloeden...

Huub Duyn is rumoured to leave Garmin to join NetApp. Who would have guessed that...
They are also looking to sign Belgian Dimitri Claeys (Jong Vlaanderen-Bauknecht), and just signed 22 year old Italian Cesare Benedetti (6th in baby Giro, currently stagair at LIQ)
For 2010 they already got Eric Baumann (Nutrixxion), Andreas Schillinger (Nutrixxion), Alexander Gottfried (Kuota), Daniel Schorn (ELK Haus), Jan Barta (KTM-Junkers), Nico Keinath (Hadimec), Michael Schwarzmann, Timon Seubert and Tassilo Fricke.

According to L'Equipe revealed, Johan Bruyneel talks between the Federation and Kazakhstan, which manages the Astana have been broken after the authorities prevent the departure of Haimar Zubeldia, Andreas Klöden and Gregory Rast.
The three runners have existing contract with Astana, but Bruyneel is the intention of buying his letter of freedom and recruit to his new team Radio Shack.
However, it has authorized the departure of Yaroslav Popovych who also had a contract with Astana in 2010.
In any case, Bruyneel says she does not throw in the towel because the Kazakh authorities always take decisions at the last minute.

Reading the latest Cycling Weekly it appears that Ben Swift has said he will honour his contract with Katusha for next season, so that’s another British rider off the list. They also state that Garmin will only release Bradley Wiggins if they can get Alberto Contador and with recent news of new sponsors and riders to Astana that now looks highly unlinkely.
The only incoming news they add is that Michael Barry should sign and also Ed Clancy. Which to me leaves two questions.
1. Without Bradley Wiggins they lack a genuine top 10 rider for any Grand Tour let alone Le Tour. Is there anyone out there still available? Kreuziger, Pellizotti?
2. As well as a genuine contender they also lack a real top level sprinter. As such from the team they currently have and even with the rumoured incoming riders, do they even look worthy of a place at Le Tour?
I must personally admit that after all the fanfare I am rather underwhelmed by their current speculated line up.

It's not a reflection on AC or whether anyone wants to ride with him. It's a reflection on Astana.
