At least Lim is being honest.

If JV had guts this would be the time to stand up, tell his truth, publicly question the UCI about the Tour de Suisse positive, position himself to be the next president of the UCI and really push for fundamental reform at the top of the sport. If he had guts.

Lim's not being honest. He had a reaction; no doubt. He's just incapable or unwilling of expressing that reaction.

Um, you really don't know anything about the law or trials, do you? If they only got convictions where there was a "smoking gun," we would only need about 6 prisons for the whole US.

Well enlighten me then. Tell me what kind of evidence you think will be enough to sink Lance?

i think we all knew that tyler will sing.

let's face it, the news of his subpena is almost 10 months old.

still, the key to the successful prosecution of texas is - the suppliers. i doubt ty will tell us about that on a telle screen.

This has not turned into a criminal matter. Our actions are either criminal or they are not. The only thing that has changed in the last year or so is that somebody is investigating certain allegations.

Well you can argue about what starts a criminal investigation, but it was turned into a criminal matter by Landis deciding to get revenge on everybody by working with the feds to find away to prosecute Armstrong.

And I don't know what you mean about athletes being forced to turn on each other. Who forced whom? Subpoenas compel us to court, and the laws compel us to speak the truth. No person or thing forces anyone to change allegiance.

The prospect of going to jail for perjury will have had a decisive effect on the decisions to talk. That's clear from Hamilton's statement - he hadn't breathed a word of this to anyone until he got a subpoena. It wouldn't surprise me if others have also talked due to this threat of perjury. It's a hugely intimidating prospect. The idea that they all just decided to talk because they feel the sport needs to make a lesson of Armstrong is baloney. If this was just an inquiry with no criminal powers, apart from Landis who is out for revenge, none of them would have said a word. Even Landis doesn't believe what he did to win was wrong.

There is no enlightenment, grasshopper. The evidence (and the charges supported by that evidence) are presently kept secret by governmental forces.

The last word from the press was they are going after him on taxes instead. That's often how these investigations go. Not enough for a certain conviction on the main issue - one man's word against another - so they dig around the books to find hard numbers they can use to get something out of it instead. Once the prosecutor sets up the investigation they are rarely shut down. Some type of result is crucial.

Once again Python I think you have hit the nail on the head.
There will be a money/supply trail to follow and if it is found it will be difficult to dispute.

Fine, Landis said he doesn't regret his decisions to dope but that has nothing to do to with why he came clean. He didn't come clean to get revenge, he came clean because he lied to people and he wanted to make it right. He was always going to come clean, LA's comeback and the snub of Floyd made it easier.

(on another note, was there an email from FL to USADA thats now gone from the site?)

A. I don't have time to teach you the Federal Rules of Evidence
B. It will take enough to convince a jury. If you can come up with a rubrick or formula as to how to satisfy that little hurdle every time, you will one rich motherf......

"This case isn't like Bonds and Clemens," a source familiar with the case said to AP – the latter facing trial for perjury following the alleged use of performance enhancing drugs. "Those were about lying. This is about corruption to the core."

Sounds like the money trail has turned up quite a bit. I'd bet the UCI is as worried as Lance right now.

Indeed. It's really crappy that athletes have been forced into this situation. I feel for them.

Who wants to see this spectacle? Not me.
I would suggest that you are in the minority (in quite a few respects).

I don't get Lance's point.

I'm with Chade on this one. Either Tyler's lying about all of this and therefore isn't a doper and keeps his medal. Or, Tyler's telling the truth, and forfeits his medal as he was doping all along.

Lance's version is that he's a bitter doper and liar, but only about the stuff pertaining to Lance.

I don't think Eki's waiting by the letterbox for his medal either way.

Why did I question you...

Its cool, I tweeted before posting here this: "Congrats to the 7 guys who will get a yellow jersey" to Lance, and then realized my folly. It happens to us all.

Good for Tyler, but something looks "odd" in his answers. Does he not know how to hold a normal conversations ?

Once again, circumstantial evidence. "he said , she said.." Still no proof, still no evidence though. Damn, after all this time, no one has any "solid evidence" ? no video tape coverage ? no tape recordings ? nothing ?

Its brought a dark cloud onto the sport, but I like, others, think Lance will skate like OJ did. I hope I'm proven wrong.

i wonder how this impacts Novitsky's case ? does it harm it by the added heat of the world's attention ?

i wonder what good old McQuaid must be thinking ? Panic mode, checking, double checking and hurrying to ensure all is covered up ?

i wonder what Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwen think ?

here goes another round..

Race Radio keep diggin'
