the sceptic said:Why do you think they gave him the express TUE?
Not sure what this has to do with the UCU giving him (in the mibds of the clinic bots) special protection. (I don't really expect a bot like you to understand it though)

mr. tibbs said:1. Banned substance
2. Taken in a race
3. Emergency TUE required to protect rider who took said substance
4. UCI happy to oblige
I think that's the line of reasoning. Which seems obvious.
Maybe you'd be more comfortable in the Babes on Bikes thread.
del1962 said:I know this is what the clinic bots think
But that does really fit in with Froomey's gf lambasting the UCI though, the last thing youd want to de is pee of the UCI
mr. tibbs said:Ah, ok. Biting the hand that feeds. Now I see your point, your original post was just lost in the shuffle without a quote in it to ground it. Or maybe it's time for ME to head over to Babes on Bikes.
Cond does seem like quite the wildcard, someone who will simply attack at the first sign of any provocation or statement that can be read in a negative light--regardless of what corner it comes from and whether or not it's negative. It baffles me that people with high public profiles not only maintain social media presences, but also insist on making their accounts as highly visible as they can through antics like this.
thehog said:Well the irony which she appears to miss is that it was Froome/Sky who requested the drug. It's wasn't like the UCI forced it upon him!
Of course the UCI were happy to doll out the hall pass because they know Froome is doping but want him racing without raising red flags.
But alas she's blaming the UCI for giving him the permission to abuse horse steroids!![]()

She was complaing about the breach of confidentially (which is against the rules) not the permission for the TUE.

Benotti69 said:She cant complain about people releasing this TUE when they claim he needs it for asthma and there is no mention of asthma in his autobiography.
So is doping and Miss Cound and her groom have no problem with Vino, an unrepentant doper and cheater.......
Ms Cound/Froome want it every which way when it suits.....

More Strides than Rides said:What has Cookson said that could possibly be interpreted by Cound as a lack of ethics? He responded to Kimmage saying everything was done by the books and WADA approved.
DirtyWorks said:It is entirely true that all rules were followed because the sports federation is it's own source of authority.
I'd like to remind readers that the UCI did not follow *suggested* WADA procedure because the TUE wasn't reviewed by committee. A favored rider needing assistance in contravention of WADA proceedure is no problem because WADA has no sanctioning authority for violating their procedures.
This TUE proves:
1. the bio-passport is theater and the UCI treats it as exactly that.
2. UCI favors riders. They have no problem altering the outcome of their races.
3. WADA is powerless to enforce their standards.

More Strides than Rides said:My question is about Cound's motives. Why is she biting the hand that feeds, as another poster said.
@inrng linked a doc on twitter that shows the UCI dissolved their own committee in March. I can't get to twitter at work, if anyone wants to link that link...
“Of course I’m not at Team Sky so I’ve not seen the TUE myself but from what I gather it’s a TUE for glucocorticosteroid and there are two issues at stake,” Boelens told Cyclingnews.
“However we would have done things a bit different. For us no matter how sick you are if you need it, you don’t race. If you want to know how sick you can be and still win then you need to ask Team Sky. Ask them, so your rider needs cortisone and he wins, how sick can he be? For me I can’t answer that and I don’t want to suggest anything because I can’t judge.”
Dazed and Confused said:The Dawg made a huge mistake asking Cound to resign from her job and become a "housewife".

TailWindHome said:Can you elaborate on how you think this TUE proves 1 and 2.
the sceptic said:Wild guess.. But maybe because we found that Zorzoli is basically a one man comittee and he is also the man for the bio passport(?), its hard to take any of it seriously.
TailWindHome said:Possibly. But that doesn't support the assertion that Froome/Sky have received favourable treatment.
I would have thought the more likely scenario is that TUEs are handed out like Smarties - but then again I have no evidence for that![]()

It's really only Sky and Saxo which has a free for all on TUEs.
