A bit more than 100 points for Cofidis today, tomorrow another 150 probably out of china. Gap to UNO X in half and with more races (especially Tokyo) and Johannessen now out for UNO X it's looking like they still might save themselves. Paris Tour will be very important for UNO X tomorrow, they need something there probably, or need a suprise in Italy if Cofidis does what it has to do in Asia

Also Cofidis seems to be safe for guaranteed wild cards at least.
Saying that it’s looking like they still might save themselves it’s a stretch. Even without any points from UNO-X on any other race Cofidis are still about 300 points behind them. With THJ UNO-X might have extended the gap fully even today, without him (and Andreas also coming out of a crash) Cofidis has a lifeline for sure, but they have to work for it. One of Cofidis problems for this end of the season is that some of their key riders have too many race days on their legs. Sure, Izagirre did well today, but he has 81 race days. Arunburu about the same. Thomas 84. Buchamnn 76. As an historical team, at this stage I just hope that Cofidis can stay ahead of Total in the year ranking to get the WT wildcards.

I agree that that I shouldve used a different expression. I just ment that they are in it again and that they have a chance. Around 280 tomorrow (IF UNO X doesn't do good in PT) is bridgabale if they do good in Asia. But of course it won't be easy.

Total threw last night in Japan and I doubt they score a lot in PT and Holland so I think Cofidis is good on that end

I don't have the feeling it's all that important for UNO X anyways. If it was they would be in Japan probably. I still think performance wise they would be better of as a Pro Team anyways, as I haven't seen any signs of the sponsors having trouble with it (of course more chance you get good riders and more sponsors as a WT team but I don't think they'll be missing guaranteed WCs anytime soon anyways). With Cofidis it seems different. Apparanelty Cofidis has let them known they might invest a bit less if they are not WT (but in the end I don't think they will).

I think it should matter for next transfer window if they have two WT seasons after.
