As a team I also get the impression that they are running on empty at this stage. They have various riders with injuries or long term issues (THJ, Cort, Kron, and others) and a big part of their bottom half of riders are closer to a CT then WT level (with all the respect to them). They will be Ok without the WT license but for sure it will make a difference if they are ambitious.
If they do get the WT license they will certainly go through a roster shift most likely, not ahead of next year since it's very late for that but ahead of 2027 if they get a new sponsor and more money.
Though tell me what team that isn't running on empty this late in the season yet they still get results from Kulset, THJ before injury, AHJ, Blikra, Hoelgaard, and Abrahamsen and a few more.
Going through their roster for next season it's not really that bad even compared to other WT teams.
Clearly good enough for WT level:
THJ
AHJ
Cort
Kron
J. Kulset
Abrahamsen
Waerenskjold
Hoelgaard
Dversnes
Tiller
Leknessund
Byström
Blikra
Fredheim
Then there are young talents who may still prove they have the level (some of these are very close to WT level already but things can quickly go either way):
Holter
Löland
Tjötta
Dalby
Bevort
Pedersen
Ingebrigtsen
Svarre
Question marks over long term future:
Hvideberg
Urianstad Bugge
Skaarseth
Resell
Blume Levy
Even among these latter ones you have riders who have struggled with injuries etc. who might still develop more potential or usefulness. And even so some of them are good loyal workers.
